For all intents and purposes to him she’s a normal little girl, who does genuinely think she was adopted and he knows blurts things out without thought so being so blasé about it is actually insane. I wonder if he was torn between not wanting to lie more to her and messing her up more since ‘she’s just a mission’ but you’d think he’d make a bit of effort pretending to her that they are a real family so SHE thinks that and will act more ‘normal’ haha

I just got told I probably have heterochromia, which is pretty neat! (If true lol). My family has blue grey eyes and I have blue with an orange ring around my pupil but I thought heterochromia was only the stereotypical two completely different eye colours. What type do I have?

The last thing I was expecting was Avril Lavigne to be on the soundtrack reveal and I’m hype!

I won’t lie and say I wasn’t already into the idea of anime, it already had a great premise but that wasn’t enough to stand out from the other greats as an all time favourite (not an insult) but this entire ending scene provided such an emotional hook for storytelling and the swell of music in sequence with the moments and insanely expressive faces when they were finally alone and safe made me immediately fall in love with it and put it above many others.

It’s very odd to say I care more for the side characters or one off characters but lets be real with the romance aspects of anime you aren’t suppose to see the full story until the end and even then it’s often left open ended.

Apothecary Diaries gives me complete story arcs that I can care about and root for quicker and with more investment if that makes sense? Like it’s obvious Maomao and Jinshi are a will they won’t they and the romance is second to the defective genre and I like it that way but then we have side characters like Lakan and Fengxian where I can actually enjoy them being together and Lihaku and Pairin that I can fully focus on rooting for vs the show ending once they get together.
