A Cold December Morning (Dateline: NBC Season 22 Episode 61-Clay and Chanin Starbuck)

Anyone remember and have thoughts on this one.
Chanin is found murdered and posed in the bedroom of her house. She is seeing other men. Her ex-husband is convicted. Their children staunchly claim their dad is innocent.

At the end, my husband and I were sure he would be found not guilty because of reasonable doubt. We were stunned at the verdict. I looked for more information on line to see if there were things left out of the show that would point more concretely to his guilt, but I couldn’t find anything. Anyone have more information?

The Secret Life of the Homecoming Queen

Just watched this one again tonight. Michelle Reynolds has an affair with husband’s best friend. They are all heavily involved in the church. Lover ends up stabbing Thad Reynolds to death.

Do you think she is putting on a soft, sweet southern voice for the interview? Do you think she knew about it and deserves jail time? From her interview, nothing was ever her fault.

Frame advice

I feel like these frames are wrong for my face. Maybe the color is too dark or the shape is wrong. Any recommendations on a better shape or color. I know I can’t help the trifocal face warp.

AITA-Did I Overreact Here?

Partner and I are in their home country. I understand a bit of the language but just the basic stuff.

We are at a restaurant. The waitress drops some stuff. It makes a huge noise. This is all I know.

Partner makes comment. I don’t know what they are saying, but I thought the unspoken rule is, you say nothing at all of waitstaff drops things. I nudge their foot and motion for them to stop. They glare at me and say I don’t know what they said. I say it doesn’t matter. The person probably wants everyone to act like nothing is happened and not call attention to it.

They make another comment and look at me and say again that I don’t know what they are saying. Note-we are not raising our voices.

They tell me that they said “Well done!”, because she caught the dishes. And “Nothing broke!”, because, well, nothing did break.

To me, the look on her face was that she wished to be ignored by everyone. And I think my partner broke the unspoken rule. But maybe I am projecting. My partner thinks they were being encouraging towards her, and I overreacted.

So, aita?

*To clarify, I did not think that my partner was saying anything unkind. I know that they would never do that to someone who was having a hard time.

*Cultural differences-I am American. They are German.

*Honestly, thank you for the perspective. I was thinking I was being kind, but was actually trying to control everyone’s emotions. Not my job. And I need to work on that.

DKNY belt with solid brass buckle

Found this cool vintage DKNY skinny belt at the GW bins. I think the belt is leather.

Yves Saint Laurent

Looking to see if these are real. I’ve done searches but can’t find anything exactly the same. Same temple piece but different bridge or doesn’t have the tortoise shell around the lens.

Some things seem off. Writing seems blurred on temple hinge, and it says “Made Italy”.

But the YSL is embedded in the nose pads and the hinge screws are flush flat head.

The writing on the inside left temple piece is worn off some, but not scratched off. It is hard like enamel and hard to read. Best I can make out is 6014 y119 130, but doesn’t seem to match what pops up when I search. But I’ve looked at so many frames, I might be getting confused.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.
