What is my best move going forward? Kind of at a standstill.

I’m 27F and currently work in the industrial operations field. I make okay money but it’s nothing spectacular. 60k salary with bonuses yearly that could bump me to 70k and overtime always available if needed. I work swing shift, which I hate. There is no growth opportunities in my current position.

I have a bachelors in biology education and was a science teacher. I left teaching because it did not pay nearly enough and I also did not find it fulfilling the passion I thought it would.

I want to completely do something different. I don’t necessarily want another degree. I could see myself getting certifications tho. On my night shifts I have a lot of free time I could spend learning new skills or taking online classes.

I would like to work in the Huntsville, AL area and I’m open to hybrid or remote. I’ve looked into like analyst positions, EHS, cybersecurity, financial areas, project management, medical research or something medical, literally all over the place.

I’m just looking for some direction from people that may be on the right path and have some insight. Or took the wrong path and has warnings.

Anything is appreciated. Thanks!

Is Business Analysis going to AI anytime soon ? ? ?

I was just about to start my BA learning plan and read someone’s comment that AI will be heavily involved in the next few years. Should I pursue something else or is the job market still going to be there?

Time is money and I’m wasting it

So I work a 4 on 4 off swing shift job that is super demanding on my 4 days but my 4 nights are dead. I spend my 12 hour shifts watching tv scrolling or twiddling my thumbs. I’ve tried reading but it makes me sleepy.

Lately I’ve realized that even tho I am getting paid, I am wasting my time. That’s 48 hours every night turn that I could be spending my paid free time doing another thing that I could get paid for.

It doesn’t have to be passive, or can be. What’s something I could spend time building to become passive later OR something I can just actually do for pay. I have a laptop I can bring to work.

I already have a cleaning business I do on my off days I’d rather this be something I only do on my night shifts.

Thank you for any advice!

Curious how much does your business make a month ? Before expenses, after, other details?

Just wanting to get a conversation started on different areas of the US and how well our fellow cleaners are doing out there.

At what point did you realize you needed to hire someone to be able to scale your business even bigger?

This has probably been asked before

I am currently taking GLOW 5 days a week and RETA 1 day a week. I am on 1.5 mg of RETA and I’m not entirely sure how many mg of GLOW because she just said take 10 units of the syringe.

Anyways—is this a good stack? Is it necessary? I have lost 22 lbs in about 3 months so I am happy with my results but I can’t say I’m noticing a ton of results from the GLOW. I’ve also heard it takes a long time to see those results OR it can just be in the not having as much loose skin once you’ve lost your weight. If this is the case, I want to keep taking it.

Should I be doing something else? Or am I on the right track?

Am I just thinking the grass is greener? Or could it actually be?

I live in a small town in North Alabama. Around 35k in the county, around 1k in my town. I know someone everywhere I go. The same people I grew up with. The same people I’ve dated. The same people my parents grew up with. I’ve always grown up thinking, “I’ll never live in the city. I love country living. I could never do the traffic or the people.”
But….as I’m approaching 30 I’m starting to really think outside this little box I was brought up in. Haven’t I just heard that from everyone around me? We all love where we live. But honestly, we don’t “country” live. We don’t have acres and acres. We don’t farm. We are just not near a big city. We have a small plot of land that we have to mow and drive 20 minutes to the nearest Walmart and that’s about it.
I really don’t want to live this life for the next 30 years. I’d love something completely different than my first 30. I have a kid, 11. I want him to experience a different kind of life. I want him to see there are other things you can do with your life. There are so many opportunities out there.

Bed bug or bat bug ????

Okay so here’s what has happened.

Over a month ago I found ONE bug like this crawling during the day on the bottom corner of my bed. My covers were pulled back so it was on the fitted sheet. I freaked out and started tearing everything apart. I didn’t find ANY other signs. Not on the mattress. Not on the baseboards. Anywhere.

The next week I find one dead in my son’s windowsill.

The next week I find one dead right in front of my bedroom door.

Over the next 2 weeks I’ve found one a few dead in the bathroom floor. Then tonight I found one dead, a smaller translucent one alive in the bathroom floor.

All of these rooms are upstairs. I haven’t found one bug downstairs at all. There’s 2 bedrooms downstairs.

Here’s what I DO know. We have rodents in the attic. Which is very connected to the 3 rooms upstairs. Could be bats, I can’t say for sure.

I still have looked several times at my mattress. Around my mattress. Everywhere else. I can’t find anything but the random dead bugs here and there.

I’m really hoping it’s a bat bug. I just can’t tell. Either way I want them gone. It makes me feel gross and itchy. What can I do??

Please help.
