The Witcher 3 Has Aged Like a Fine Wine...

A short video I made in honor of the Witcher 3’s 11th birthday! It explores the many reasons why The Witcher 3 is such a timeless classic, as well as to the level of care and craftsmanship CD Projekt Red put into adapting Sapkowski’s work. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Out of My Mind-Rory Gallagher(Cover)

A cover I did awhile back of “Out of My Mind” by the Irish Guitar legend, Rory Gallagher.

It has a lot of Doc Watson influence and it’s one of my personal favorites of his.

A YouTuber who hates their voice.

I know this is super common, but I’ve always hated recording my voice because of how nasally and weak it sounds. It’s definitely painful when you’re also trying to build a side hustle as a content creator. Are there any other fellow creators who wrestled with the same insecurities? I’m aware it’s very common for starting creators, but it doesn’t make it any easier to deal with. Any help is greatly appreciated. I finished recording my latest vid and feel an overwhelming desire to start over.

If TLOU2 were a film…

I rewatched The Place Beyond The Pines recently and the amount of thematic similarities it shares with TLOU2 wasn’t something I pieced together until now. Both are daringly ambiguous with “hidden sections”, great subtext, and unconventional storytelling.

Edit: They also leverage perspective and empathy as devices for the story.

They both touch on generational trauma, the cyclical nature of violence, how our choices can have unforeseen consequences that ripple and cause pain to those we were trying to protect. It’s a great fucking movie and if you haven’t seen it, you absolutely should! If you love slow character study type experiences, it’s your movie. If you love TLOU2, you’ll definitely enjoy it as well.

P.S: I haven’t been able to find anything that suggests it inspired TLOU2 online, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it did.

Where would you rank Rory Gallagher in a “Favorite Guitarist” list?

I know he’s technically not the best but he’s still my greatest musical influence. It’s a bummer he’s not that well known in the US, (at least by the average listener.) but a part of me kinda likes that. Super famous artists tend to become over saturated on local radio stations and in media overall.

It legitimately makes me happy seeing real feedback for Part II, instead of the review bombing nonsense it endured at launch. Granted people still do occasionally but it's far less frequent these days. I know I sound like a broken record regarding this game but man I love it so much😘👌

I was raised Southern Baptist and vehemently believed Christianity to be undeniable truth for most of my life. Until the past 2 years where I began deconstructing my faith, chipping away at it piece by piece until there’s nothing left of it. I’m currently living as a closeted atheist and it’s getting harder to live this lie. My biggest fear is alienating myself from my family/community. It would break my mother’s heart to tell her this and I’m just stuck in this vacuum of second guessing my deconstruction.. alongside my faith simultaneously. Are there any others who are facing the same dilemma?? If so how do/did you set your self free? It’s so hard dude.

And I feel pretty proud about it! I’m still masturbating here and there using my imagination and honestly the thought of watching porn makes me queazy. For how long this holds up is up in the air but so far I’m feeling pretty confident! Despite the occasional mood swings.
