What’s everyone making for the Fourth of July?

Doing a Southern BBQ spread for about 8 people. Pulled pork smoked overnight, grilled chicken thighs, mac and cheese, collards, cornbread, vinegar slaw, baked beans, peach cobbler for dessert. Curious what everyone else has planned

If you could pick a full days worth of eating ITP, what would you be your choices?

breakfast is Little Tart in Grant Park, no debate. get the kouign-amann, it’s this caramelized buttery thing that somehow has a crispy bottom and flaky layers at the same time. they sell out early so don’t sleep on it. grab a coffee and sit outside and just exist for a minute.

mid afternoon I’m at Krog Street for whatever reason and I walk past Jeni’s and obviously I go in. brambleberry crisp or brown butter almond brittle depending on how I feel. not a big deal, just a thing that happens.

lunch at Fred’s Meat & Bread in krog. smashburger with american cheese, their sauce, potato bun. it’s a little messy and kind of perfect. sit at the counter. in and out in 20 minutes and you’re full for the rest of the day whether you want to be or not.

dinner at Miller Union. the pork chop has been on the menu forever and it’s just always good, comes with whatever seasonal stuff they’re doing and it works every time. the room feels like actual Atlanta, not some concept of Atlanta. get the butter beans if they’re there. split a bottle of something weird from the wine list.

end the night at Ticonderoga Club. it’s in Inman Park, a little tucked away, dark inside, bartenders actually know what they’re doing. ordered one drink stayed for three. you know how it goes.

Does anyone live close to the train tracks near Campbell road?

Looking at a house that is about 200 feet away and not sure how much of a disturbance that would be. I know there is a no train horn law in Smyrna

Zoya is paying for bot reviews?

A large number of new 5-star reviews have appeared over the last few hours, and several accounts seem suspicious. I’m seeing profiles such as “Hfhjj Jjgedx,” “Fraps Jansz,” and “Mary Blly,” along with what appear to be repeated photos being used across reviews.

Maybe there’s a legitimate explanation, but this doesn’t look organic to me. If these reviews are authentic, great. If not, it’s disappointing to see a new business potentially trying to build its reputation this way.

Smyrna deserves honest reviews from real customers so people can make informed decisions. Has anyone else noticed this?

Weather this weekend?

Heading to Panama City Beach this weekend and trying to figure out what to expect weather-wise. I’m seeing a mix of sun/clouds with possible scattered afternoon storms, but forecasts seem all over the place.
For anyone local or already there:
Is it still looking beach-worthy most of the day?
Are the rain chances usually quick passing storms or all-day washouts?
How’s the wind/water been lately?
Trying to decide how worried I should be about the forecast 😂 Thanks!
