The woman in me

Does anybody else feel like whoever does the harmonies with Shania on the woman in me album really gives that album a totally distinctive sound that nothing else she did had?

Budget friendly intake for 2020 si

Hey guys im new here I just bought my first si on Friday! I posted it up here on the weekend asking for recommendations on intakes that dont require a tune and pretty much everyone said prl cobra. After looking at a bunch of different websites trying to find the lowest price I stumbled upon a note at the bottom of the page saying the prl cobra cai will not work for canadian civics because of the location of the windshield washer fluid reservoir. So I guess that means im out of luck for that intake. Does anyone else have any suggestions on intakes they've had luck with that dont require a tune ? I saw spectre makes an intake with a heat shield thats a decent price, anyone try that one? Preferably i dont want to spend a lot of money on it ( wife and kids come first so spending hundreds of dollars on something not completely necessary is a hard sell lol) thanks in advance guys im loving being back in the honda community so much love here!

Finally own an Si

Well I finally did it. After at least 10 years of being out of the honda game, I finally got my hands on a 2020 si. I was one of those young guys who couldnt afford a real si back in the day so I would just slowly buy parts to make it look more like an si but obviously the motor was never swapped so I never got to own a real one until now. Now I just gotta start doing some mods! Anybody have any suggestions for CAI that dont require a tune? Im a old school honda guy so these new fancy ones are quite a bit different for me and I heard some intakes require a tune after install but I dont wanna spend that kind of money yet. Im hoping to do a CAI, muffler delete and maybe some 20mm spacers to make the wheels nice and flush with the fenders.

Cover song ideas

Hey guys! So we have this cover band that we do once a year for a BBQ community party out in cottage country and this year we were asked to add another set. We need approx 8 more songs for the last set but were struggling to agree on what to add. The crowd is very mixed but id say mostly 40+ is the median age, but also a decent amount of younger people around 16-20ish. Id really appreciate any suggestions for good upbeat tried and true songs from the experienced cover band musicians here! We are somewhat staying away from the typical oldies classics that every cover band plays but we still do play some of them of course. We are trying to add more 90s-2000s upbeat, danceable songs. Any suggestions help guys shoot me everything you know that gets the crowd moving!

Edit: I guess I should add the our singer doesnt have a HUGE range, he can hit some decently high notes but we are tuning pretty much everything half a step down so he doesnt wear his voice out too quickly. He comes from playing in punk rock bands so hes definitely more on the raspy side of singing.

Idiots on marketplace

Well this is now the 3rd young guy that has wasted my time with a car on marketplace. This time I was strung along for almost 3 weeks. There are so many idiots on there that post their cars with pretty unrealistic asking prices swearing the car is mint then when you ask to see it suddenly they say oh it needs this it needs that or this last guy swore the car was mint and wanted me to pay asking if he got it saftied without me even seeing it then when I saw it it was all dinged up with touch up paint looked like it was applied by a drunk blind guy and body panels really terribly put together by this kid and then guess what the car fails safety and the kid says hes gonns keep it now. Fuck im so tired of idiots.

Brackets or no brackets?

First time building a fence and I was told by two people ( One a fence builder and a buddy who's built a few ) to use brackets for the runners. Ive been looking around at the fence today around work and I dont see any fences with those brackets on the runners. So my question is should I bother? I dont like the look of them and would probably paint them black before install but thats also a other kind of annoying step. Is it that beneficial to use them? Im building alone so I know it would be easier to hold the runners in place while I screw them in but I could also jjst use a couple blocks to hold up the runners temporarily while I toe screw them into the posts. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Using 4x4 posts 8ft centers spanning about 60 ft

Cleaning the shitter at lunch time

Is this some sort of unwritten rule for porta potty companies that they must come when everyone's trying to eat to clean out the shitters and make the whole area smell like human waste?!

Wanna buy a new edge

So Ive been wanting one for probably 25 years and I thought i found one today I went n saw it and was a little disappointed in the condition. It wasnt terrible but the pictures made it look alot nicer. I feel like maybe im remembering my friends dads 2003 mustang when it was new so im shocked at how things were all rattling and loose. The cars got 188,000 km on it and he doesnt wanna go lower than 9000 CAD. theres lots of paint chips and scratches that look like they were touched up but its very noticeable. The front bumper wasnt fitted very well and kinda loose. Some zip tie holding some of the trim on. Am I expecting too much at that price point? I feel like 9 grand should get a car in pretty good condition but I havent bought a used car in a long time so maybe im just being ridiculous with my expectations. it drove pretty good the motor felt healthy nice and smooth power and it shifted very nice but I could hear sound coming from the shifter like you could hear the gears almost. could be because its a steeda short throw maybe less plastic parts dont dampen the sound as much? i guess i should mention it's s a 2001 gt

Considering a charger!

Hey guys! Ill have to be honest I never thought id consider a Chrysler product ever against after my experience with jeep but the charger is ticking alot of the boxes for what im looking for in a car. My truck is way too expensive to drive every day to work so im looking into the v6 chargers for a daily, preferably 2014 and up. Anything I should be aware of when looking at these vehicles? The awd option would be ideal as I live in canada and do alot of highway driving for work. Ive read a decent amount on Google but I figure it's better to go right to the people who drive these everyday for some advice.

Frustrated drummer/dad

So im in a band with these guys ive known for many years now and now we're adults with responsibilities and priorities. We make it work with jam but we do miss jam every now and then and its always because of me or the singer. Our bass player is always good to jam, we jam at his place so that makes it easier for sure. But he also starts work at 8 in an office and doesnt have kids or really too many responsibilities other than some yard work and usual house stuff. Im a tradesman with a wife and two young boys and a house so im obviously insanely busy 90% of the time but I make a solid effort to make it to jam plus I know the songs and rarely make mistakes, I also write alot with the bass player so im definitely pulling my weight. Our singer works in construction as well and has some things go9ng on in his life that make him miss jam a little more often than me but in all honesty a lot of his missing jams are silly reasons but whate er it is what it is. I just let them know I have to work out of town this week and I got the third degree from the bass player saying he just wants to quit hes always waiting for us and hes always available and so on. While I get his frustration it also drives me nuts because he has probably 1/4 of the responsibilities and priorities that i have and its really annoy8ng getting lectured about coming to jam when im a 38 year old dad with a 5 and 10 year old boy and a wife and a career. Anybody else ever deal with this shit? Sorry I had to rant!

▲ 1 r/G37

Ive been looking for a car since just before Christmas, originally I was looking for a Honda with a manual tranny but I just couldn't bring myself to spend x2 what the cars worth just because of the badge on the hood. So ive been seeing g37s come up on marketplace for what I think is a reasonable price given the mileage and age. I think it checks all the boxes and I can deal with a automatic trans if it has some balls like these cars do. Any advice on what to look out for? From my Google searches ive read that 2012 and up are fairly bulletproof.

I just wanted to say that every time I listen to Paramore im always blown away by the skill level of the musicians in the band. They dont get enough credit from non musicians! The drums have always been top notch on every album regardless of who's playing, the bass in aint it fun is so tight and funky as hell, the guitar tones are perfect and the playing is very tasteful. The amount of times I say "wow" after listening to a Paramore song is unreal, especially after ive had a hoot or two lol.
