HELP! How to vanlife with two cats? Is this doable?

Hi, I just came to the conclusion that I will not be happy with my life unless I am traveling the country freely. If it wasn't for my two cats I would be living out of my car right now. I have been mildly toying with the idea of trading my (already bought used) car in for a van if any sorts and bring my cats with me. But they both hate riding in a car, wouldn't they also juat hate riding in a van? Does anyone have expirence or insight on this. Also, how could I go out and explore during the day in the summer with it being so hot out? I obviously can't leave my cats in the van or they will cook. And I can't bring them everywhere with me either. Does anyone have any advice or insight on these issues? I can't live happily or fulfilling spiritually or mentally at this stage in my life unless I can travel freely, I regret getting cats now but I love them both dearly and can't leave them behind

Best flowers/bushes for shaded area? New York Zone 6a

Hi, I have been recently removing invasive garlic mustard and periwinkle around my grandpa's property, I want to try to plant flowers and/or bushes around the very edge of the property (because that is all I am permitted). The edge of the property near the woodline is shaded, not heavily shaded but I believe it remains lightly shaded all day if not most of the day. Want some good ideas for native flowers or bushes that will thrive in the spot. Preferably deer resistant. I was thinking asters but I believe they need at least partial sun? Or, how good will they do in the shade? Any suggestions/ideas welcome, I am new to native plants gardening. Thanks!!!!!!
