Shipping from India to the US, create shipping label, I am in the US

I am getting a product from a company in India, and they don't ship to the US, they told me I need to arrange shipping. They asked me to send them a shipping label, and apparently this involves with me paying for the shipping here in the US for shipment from India to US.

I have never done anything like this, where do I start?

URX Core75 looks like a really nice option ... if you're in India.

Looks like a translucent plastic 75% with: QMK firmware, actively updated repo, VIA and VIAL firmware, price normally $100 equivalent, currently half off at $50 equivalent.

Epomaker TH85 was listing for $35, so...

The good: the layout is nice, it's not as fat as a full 80%, though it would be nice if it had the 6-key navigation cluster of the AL71, or even a fullly populated right side. The logo plate doesn't really add value. QMK firmware is legit as far as I can tell in VIA. There's a repo claiming to be original firmware in github, I may check that out.

The bad: Typical mushy linear switches, and the keycaps have "shine through" layout but they're opaque. The backlight patterns are not the usual set and don't include typing heatmap. :(

The interesting: https://imgur.com/a/epomaker-th85-upper-right-sockets-AfuGUdS - extra pins in the upper right sockets. Is this knob support, or some other module? The arrangement doesn't match any knob module I know of, and it's not mentioned anywhere else.

Source code for Y&R Studio X64?

I have found the source to a number of other Y&R keyboards, but not this one. Does anyone know if the source to the X64 is available?

Dear every premium and wannabe-premium keyboard maker...

For the love of all you hold dear, please put your brand name, the keyboard model name, and the keyboard serial number somewhere on the keyboard itself. OK, you don't want to desecrate the glorious enamelled weight or pristine aluminum back with a label, so put it inside, I don't care. Even Apple-style unreadable lettering you need a magnifying glass or phone camera to read would be better than nothing.

Device has DFU interface, but has no DFU functional descriptor

I'm trying to convert a Y&R 6095 keyboard from VIA to VIAL, I have consed up a vial.json file that doesn't look completely wrong when I bring it up in VIAL as a Dummy Keyboard, and building with make yandrstudio/yr6095:vial reports no errors, but I can't flash it. When I boot it in DFU mode it shows up as a mass storage device with the following files:

CURRENT.UF2
INDEX.HTM
INFO_UF2.TXT

When I try and flash with make yandrstudio/yr6095:vial:flash I get the above error.

Keychron C2 Pro 8k with silent banana switches... if you've been waiting for a prebuilt silent keyboard.

If you've been waiting for a prebuilt silent keyboard: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F2FBM5RG is only $44 right now with the excellent Silent Banana switches and the source code is in the Keychron github. The switches alone would be more than half the price.

Dear everyone who makes or sells keycaps.

  1. Please provide two non-Win 1.25u bottom row keys for people who don't want their keyboards to advertise Microsoft Windows. Novelties, Super, Command, Code, doesn't matter.

  2. Also, a 1u backspace key, a 1u backSLASH key, and a 1.5u backspace, for the folks with various split backspace arrangements.

  3. If you provide an ISO enter, also provide a 1.25u left shift and a <> and \| key to go between it and Z. And at least ISO-UK alternates.

  4. A couple of 1.25u and 1u novelties for the spacebar row would not go amiss.

  5. If you're doing a sculpted profile set, include enough alternate height Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down keys for the various navigation column layouts.

  6. Conversely, if you're doing a uniform profile set, you don't need more than one of those. I got a MOA set with at least two identical keys for each of the navigation legends. Why?

  7. Also a Del for the bottom row and the top row. There are layouts that need both. And F13 through F16 (or at least 4 novelties) for 108 and 109 key layouts.

  8. A capslock key with "control" or at least a novelty legend for folks going for a UNIX or HHKB layout. I got one set that had the shrug emoji. That was cool.

  9. 2.25u and 2.75u convex spacebars for Alice layouts. And enough novelties to populate the macro column on a Keychron Q10. And extra B and 6 keys for various ergo/split duplications.

  10. 2u left shift and 1u right shift for Minila.

  11. For ortho sets, a few extra labelled function keys. Raise, lower, super, hyper, meta, all good options. Actually, I could use those on any set.

  12. For ortho sculpted sets, extra heights for tab, backslash, enter, del, shift, esc, so people can customize that stuff.

Anything else I missed, folks? What's your keycap set peeves?

How do I tell is my Q4 is V1 or V2?

Digging around in Keychron's repo I found a VIAL port for the Keychron Q4, but I don't know if I should build ansi_v1 or ansi_v2. There's a difference in the RGB driver configuration. How do I tell what version mine is?

Adjust wallpaper for portrait or landscape?

Just started using my Lenovo P11 again and with the keyboard cover I use it landscape now and then... and my portrait mode wallpaper looks awful cropped. Is there a way to have Android use different wallpapers for each mode?

Keychron's per-key RGB

Since Keychron has now got per-key configuration for RGB and their firmware source is on their github, backporting that upstream to the main QMK repo and duplicating the Launcher side in VIA shoudl be doable. Is anyone working on that?
