Keychron C2 Pro 8k with silent banana switches... if you've been waiting for a prebuilt silent keyboard.
If you've been waiting for a prebuilt silent keyboard: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F2FBM5RG is only $44 right now with the excellent Silent Banana switches and the source code is in the Keychron github. The switches alone would be more than half the price.

amazon.comDear everyone who makes or sells keycaps.
Please provide two non-Win 1.25u bottom row keys for people who don't want their keyboards to advertise Microsoft Windows. Novelties, Super, Command, Code, doesn't matter.
Also, a 1u backspace key, a 1u backSLASH key, and a 1.5u backspace, for the folks with various split backspace arrangements.
If you provide an ISO enter, also provide a 1.25u left shift and a
<>and\|key to go between it and Z. And at least ISO-UK alternates.A couple of 1.25u and 1u novelties for the spacebar row would not go amiss.
If you're doing a sculpted profile set, include enough alternate height Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down keys for the various navigation column layouts.
Conversely, if you're doing a uniform profile set, you don't need more than one of those. I got a MOA set with at least two identical keys for each of the navigation legends. Why?
Also a Del for the bottom row and the top row. There are layouts that need both. And F13 through F16 (or at least 4 novelties) for 108 and 109 key layouts.
A capslock key with "control" or at least a novelty legend for folks going for a UNIX or HHKB layout. I got one set that had the shrug emoji. That was cool.
2.25u and 2.75u convex spacebars for Alice layouts. And enough novelties to populate the macro column on a Keychron Q10. And extra B and 6 keys for various ergo/split duplications.
2u left shift and 1u right shift for Minila.
For ortho sets, a few extra labelled function keys. Raise, lower, super, hyper, meta, all good options. Actually, I could use those on any set.
For ortho sculpted sets, extra heights for tab, backslash, enter, del, shift, esc, so people can customize that stuff.
Anything else I missed, folks? What's your keycap set peeves?
How do I tell is my Q4 is V1 or V2?
Digging around in Keychron's repo I found a VIAL port for the Keychron Q4, but I don't know if I should build ansi_v1 or ansi_v2. There's a difference in the RGB driver configuration. How do I tell what version mine is?
Adjust wallpaper for portrait or landscape?
Just started using my Lenovo P11 again and with the keyboard cover I use it landscape now and then... and my portrait mode wallpaper looks awful cropped. Is there a way to have Android use different wallpapers for each mode?
Keychron's per-key RGB
Since Keychron has now got per-key configuration for RGB and their firmware source is on their github, backporting that upstream to the main QMK repo and duplicating the Launcher side in VIA shoudl be doable. Is anyone working on that?
Reminder: firmware updates are a risk, don't do them unless you need them.
reddit.com3d printed folding feet for Monsgeek M1 v3
And for other keyboards without folding feet.
Designed and 3d printed by u/MangerMade/ these are quite low when folded down and just high enough when deployed. Much better than all the "laptop" sized feet I've tried over the years.
The mechanism feels robust, the feet won't flip down unexpectedly like some, there's a kind of crunchy ratchet feel as they flip down and up again.
Another starry-cat deskpad. This one is squarer and fits better in the available space. ObKeyboard: YMDK DK61 zebrawood case and Black Lotus keycaps.
[WANT: US] Folding feet for mechanical keyboard.
I have been looking for stick-on folding feet for my mechanical keyboard (Inland MK Pro 75) for some time. I have bought a number of designs intended for laptops, some of which were advertised as being suitable for keyboards but were all far too large once they actually arrived. I thought about ordering something from Xometry or someone like that but I haven't been able to find a suitable design. It would need to be only a couple mm high when folded flat and maybe 1cm when open (the fixed stick-on feet I am using are 9mm), and stay robustly in each position. I've looked on sites like Thingiverse for designs but drawn a blank.
I have no STL files because I am only an egg.
Any suggestions?
Anyone have any experience with this QMK magnetic board?

walmart.comAn open letter to keycap makers
Dear everyone who produces or sells keycaps...
- If you have an ISO enter key, you also ought to provide 1u
<>,\|,\@,#~, and at least enough alternate-legend numeric row keys to let someone populate their boards for US-ISO and UK-ISO at a minimum. Probably both R2 and R1 versions of\|if your profile requires it. - And a 1.25u left shift.
- Which brings us to the next point... there are layouts that need 1u, 1.75u, and 2u shift keys as well.
- 65% and 75% layouts will need to populate the navigation column, so include all the row alternates for home, end, page-up, page-down, and delete.
- And 1u right modifiers, at least including alt/opt, function, and control, and ideally win/cmd and menu as well.
- And some kind of alternate for the "Windows" key for people not using Windows.
- For keyboards with an f13 key, include at least an f13 and a del.
- For split backspace, all top row 1u versions of delete, backspace, and
\|. - And if you add a 1u tab and enter to all the above, then ortho keyboards will be happier.
- And 2.25u and 2.75u and maybe 1.25u convex bottom row keys for split spacebar variants.
- And media keys for 108-key layouts.
- And if you have an R5 row, both heights of escape.
- Once you've done all this, then you can start adding flowers and panda faces and dancing stick figures and other novelty keys to pad out your selection.
Keychron J2/J8 HE are not open source.
Just got word from Jamesdonkey that the Keychron J2/J8 HE boards are not running QMK or ZMK, the HPM5321ICB1 processor is not supported by either.
Redragon K739 Uranus
And another great QMK board from Redragon falls off the table. At least it doesn't look like it's available on Amazon any more and it was never on your website. Is it gone for good, along with the k715 and k717? :(
