I got the AliExpress bellypan, so you don't have to.

First off, it cost about $160 and arrived maybe a month or so after ordering. It came with no instructions or hardware for mounting the brackets to the bike, and the hardware for mounting the brackets to the fairing was pretty underwhelming. I ended up ordering accessory center stand bolts for the rear exhaust side, which is threaded on the frame, and sourcing the rest for the unthreaded holes in my garage.

Overall I think the paint match was pretty good, especially for the price. It was kind of a pain to mount and will need to come off for an oil change if I don't want to make a huge mess.

Some may disagree with hiding those akrapovic headers, but for me, it ties the whole bike together. No noticeable affect on aero or performance in my brief but peppy test ride. I feel like I don't need to do anything else to this machine. I'm very happy with it.

Found an abandoned golf course.

Blurry video cause it's from my phone in a chest pack, but this was fun. Lots of room to rip but no real jumps.

You decide, does it count?

Or without clip ons and mad custom work, am I just a poser?

I'm a happy poser, if so. This thing rocks.

Here's my before and after.

Just another Dyna bro who can't wheelie, but I like to hit the twisties.

Bought it with 700 miles in 2019.

I can't stop buying bikes, tell me why I shouldn't get this one when even the old lady is saying go for it.

I own 2 modern sport bikes, a Harley and 2 electric dirtbikes. Lately I have been wanting something old and slow to play with. I haven't owned a carbureted bike since 2011, an 81' Honda CM400. It kicked my butt back then trying to get it to run right, and tho I'm handy and mechanical now, I'm no master tech engine builder.

I understand it's always a risk buying someone else's project, but this seems fairly complete and not hacked, right?

Too much money? Should I go look at it and offer $3k or is that insulting. I secretly actually want you to convince me to do it.

My "Modern Classic" and my "Neo Retro"

I've owned the 1st Gen XSR since new in 2016. It's been the perfect street bike. Comfy ergos, decent suspension and scary power at times, but all so usable on the street. It was my first taste of new bikes kinda looking old, but with the direction I took it, it didn't scratch that "cafe racer" itch I have always had. I'd like to update it and do some more custom stuff like integrating the sleek looking stock rear fender with new lighting. Kinda wish I went for the anniversary yellow one and grabbed a rear cowl when you still could. Seems impossible to find one now.

Personally, I think the Gen 2 XSR is a much better comparison to the Kawi, at least from a cosmetic stand point. Those things are so cool, especially the GP.

I Picked up the Z900rs as a Christmas present to myself this year, and have no regrets. Honestly, I find myself drawn to throwing a leg over it more than my others, HD Dyna included. The suspension feels easier on my back than my XSR and honestly more confidence inspiring. She goes through corners very effortlessly. The engine has a more standard 4banger feeling and is less likely to get me in trouble unlike Yamahas CP3. The benefit of the stock exhaust is being able to hear the incredibly hungry intake noise it has, especially in full tuck.

My only gripe was a lot of missed 2nd gear shifts. After doing a little digging, I flipped the shift arm 180 degrees to GP style( 1 up, 5 down )and that seems to have resolved it. Used to ride my ZX6R back in the day this way so it felt pretty natural.

Today, I added some TST turn signals and Bar end mirrors. Really cleans up the flow of it. With that I believe I've reached my limit for exterior mods. Maybe a rear grab handle for my girl to hold onto. Kawasaki did such a bang up job already.

TLDR; I like motorcycles.

I maybe like the Z900 a little more.

Thanks for looking.

Left for a couples massage right when the storm started, and turned around because of the trees coming down around us. Came home to this.

15 minutes of wind. Fortunately the side by side seems ok albeit trapped and other than an antique bed frame, nothing really of huge value in there. Mildly infuriating part is I have a 4 day weekend and can't do anything about it until insurance sees it...
