How much of this is AI powered? I know before update, you could only use AI in Affinity if you had a paid Canva account. Is it the same for v3? I have v2 and v3. I haven’t tried v3 at all.

I’m rabidly anti-AI (not open for discussion) and avoid it where humanly possible.

They're all making me crazy. Obviously I'm doing something wrong.

Several (7) links are showing a redirect error in Search Console. Redirects are set to 301 Redirects in SEOP Pro. The parameters are showing exact-match. Don't recall setting those, but okay. Maybe 4-5 years ago, the client decided to change their domain name. Of course, nightmare.

In Search Console, I've checked the problem urls and confirmed the old urls and actual destination urls. I've asked to have the urls reindexed over and over (this has been going on for MONTHS). Much later, Search Console lets me know the re-index has failed.

I've gone into internal links to see if they're referenced there. Nope, except 2. I fixed them.

I've gone into SEOP to confirm the destination URLs are correct. I've generated site maps there and made sure they were added correctly to the .htaccess (if I remember correctly). I've checked the URLs via the browser's address bar to confirm it's there.

The error is consistently "Page is not indexed: Redirect error"; "Sitemaps: No referring sitemaps detected"; "Referring page: Could not fetch the information"... "Page fetch: Failed: Redirect error." The original URLs are incorrect, so I did the redirections.

Can anyone tell me what's going on? I hope I've given you enough information and sounded coherent. I suspect it's something breathtakingly simple.

I’m tired of paying Quicken every year to use their software.

I’m an experienced bookkeeper (Quickbooks, Sage). I’ve been using Quicken for decades. I know double-entry bookkeeping.

In Quicken I have a data file for my personal finances and one for my now-smaller business (I’m semi-retired).

I don’t mind a one-time fee. I just don’t want to keep paying, and I want my data file in iCloud.

Can you suggest anything?

I've had the filter *2 days*. It replaced another filter I'd used for about 3 weeks that also started to fail. The water coming out of the tap is 236ppm (I have one of the previous blue meters). The container's filtered water is indicating 36ppm with the orange light. What's weird is that I had a jug of distilled water. I checked that too, and it was around 36ppm having gone through the filter. I poured some into a new cup and checked with the blue meter. 2ppm. Any thoughts?

Needless to say I'm returning this 2-pak. I'm totally confused and irritated. This is so expensive, and I can't keep throwing money at it.

I’ve changed it to DuckDuckGo in Settings every place I can find to set DuckDuckGo as the default search engine. Won’t stop using Google for search. I’ve deleted Firefox and reinstalled it. Done a search. There’s Google. Gone back into Settings. Made sure default search was DuckDuckGo. It was. I do a search. There’s Google. It’s making me crazy. Please help me.

It least once a week my Guide stops communicating with the MySugr app, even if it’s freaking sitting right next to my iPhone. It is a PIA. The app tells me to restart (not reset) my Guide. How do I do that?

I currently have 1Password. The thing I love about it is that it will stay open for a long period. I do really, really, really hate that I have to store my vault on their servers. Talk about a target on their backs for hackers! I used to be able to store it in iCloud. I can access their app with current info across all my devices.

I don't want to use Passwords because it locks so quickly! I'm a web designer, and clients have A LOT of different accounts associated with their websites that I may need to access within minutes of each other. With Passwords, I'm constantly having to log back in to the app.

Are there any other alternative password manager alternatives you recommend? I don't care if it's a paid app. I would absolutely prefer that it's not subscription.

I'm doing redirections in SEOPress *Pro* and I can do .htaccess, too/instead.

In SEOPress, all destination URLs are correct in the Redirections tab.

In SC, it says URL is not on Google, but that it can be indexed. The Live URL goes to the correct page.

**The site had a different domain at the beginning. The client wanted to use a different domain. I've done a 301 domain redirect in SeoPress Pro and .htaccess.

SC says there's no referring sitemap detected. I had manually uploaded a new sitemap and put it into public_html. I also used SEOPress to generate a new sitemap, because it seems like nothing I'm doing in SEOPress is working.

The referring page uses the old domain's page name.

I've asked for the page to be reindexed like 3 times, and it keeps failing.

I'm beside myself. Can you help? Just tell me what to do.

I don't see an option for closing all tabs except my current one. How do I do this, maybe using Quick Commands and a button or shortkey.

In 2020, I was put on dexamethasone for 1.5 months. Long story short, I was diagnosed with steroid-induced T2 diabetes after my blood sugar went up to 738. Type 1 testing was not done. I've been on Metformin ever since. It's been moderately helpful. Good days, bad days.

In the last few years, I lost 25 lbs., making my BMI 18.56. My primary sent me to an endocrinologist, who did testing and I was diagnosed with T1.5 at the age of 68. So, autoimmune, which is not surprising, since I have several autoimmune disorders anyway. How could I have T2 and have it change to T1.5?

Also, my endo said Metformin can cause weight loss. Since I'm still having a very difficult time gaining back the weight, and I'm on insulin now, she took me off the Metformin yesterday. I've managed to gain 4 lbs. over the last few months. Fingers crossed.

Could I have had T1.5 all along and it was never T2? Could all those steroids have "kick-started" the T1.5? That would be weird, though, because steroids are usually used with autoimmune disorder flare-ups.

I'm trying to make sense of all this.

In Adobe, they have a "Scale to Fit" (on the printer paper - the printer calculates the percentage). Not "Fit to scale." I don't want to do the calculation. I'm printing this out on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, but the art is much larger. I don't need it to look pretty. I just need the printing to scale the image to fit the paper so I can reference it, even if there's a ton of white space on the top and bottom. It's the layout for a quilt. What am I missing?? It occurs to me that I can do a screenshot and print that out. But still, please explain it to me like I'm 5, for the next time.

On a side note, I'm quite pleased I figured out how to do the layout in Designer. It entails a diagonal grid.

When I’m on a search quest to find out something in Vivaldi using StartPage, it opens a new tab every time. So many tabs and no history! Twice as many tabs to delete. I want to open the link in the same tab so I can “back” through the history, like I can through every other browser search I’ve used. If I want to open a new tab, I click a contextual option on click to give me that. How do I disable this new tab behavior?

How do I permanently get rid of the “Crosspost to Other Communities” pop-up whenever I post anything anywhere in Reddit?

I want to make sites I’m searching to open in the tab I’m in, with a history I can “back” into. StartPage insists on generating a new tab. If I’m on a quest to find something in search, this is A LOT of tabs!! How do I fix this (explain it to me like I’m a beginner). Worse comes to worst, I’ll just use DuckDuckGo.

I've had a web design and maintenance and Google Ads client since 2013. I need to get into his email to handle some business-related stuff, like his Google Business Profile. I know I've gotten in with it before. Apparently he never uses this account for email himself. I know he's getting email to it for his Google Ads, because I'm getting an email copy to my account. He's just not seeing it. I can get into his Ads and Search Console account via my Google Ads Manager and Search Console I set up forever ago, but it's not enough. I really dropped the ball on this. I should have known about and handled this situation a very long time ago.

He doesn't recognize the email address at all. If I try to log in, it will need to be verified, and the code will be sent to his GM account he doesn't recognize and doesn't have access to. Sigh.

I could make a case to him for keeping the unknown gmail address, I could set up a forwarder, and he'd do it. I just need to get in.

With Google going all in on AI (I loathe AI with the heat of 1000 suns) how will that affect their Google Ads account? Forgive my stupid question, but how will Google Ads show up since there will be no more organic search? I’ll bet SEO marketers are so pissed off.

I bought an Apple Pencil in August 2024. For the last 4 months or so, it keeps disconnecting from my iPad. I take the USB-C cable, plug it in to my iPad and my pencil so it reconnects. The pencil usually has plenty of juice. A short time later, it disconnects again. Google says it should last many years. It's been 2 years. Help?

I love Vivaldi, but one thing that is very frustrating is that when I’m on my bank’s website in my account, and I download my statements, it kicks me out of my account while I’m downloading so I have to log in again. I have to log in after downloading for each statement - checking, savings, credit card, brokerage. GAHH I’ve never had to do this with any other browser.

I’ve decided I’ll cope, because I love everything else, but is there a way to fix this? Is there a setting?
