NHS care for early pregnancy - is this normal?

What are your experiences with being seen for abnormalities etc in early pregnancy?

I’ll start by saying I know not a lot can be “done” for problems in early pregnancy and as we all know the NHS is under strain.

But I’ve got pain and bleeding (about 8 weeks) I’d like checked out but no matter how I try to get through I fail (trying for almost 2 weeks)
- GP surgery (says it’s fine, go to EPAU if concerned)
- EPAU (won’t see you unless referred)
- 111 (go to walk in centre)
- walk in centre (won’t refer)
- community midwife personal number (no answer)
- community midwives group number (no one answers)

Is this normal from your experience?

Success stories of work anxiety and impostor syndrome please 🙏

Please can anyone share their success story of starting a new job getting anxiety and then overcoming it somehow?
The impostor syndrome and anxiety is ruining my life outside of work and I just don’t can’t see a way out.
I need to visualise 😢

In this expensive and bizarre world we now live in, what made you decide to, or not to, have a second baby?

Just wondering what made people decide one way or anothet. If it were 20 years ago I wouldn’t have blinked twice but this world we’re in now…it feels like it’d be too hard for me at least.

No judgment either way I’m just interested.

First EMDR: lost my mind the next day. Advice please!

A few days ago I had EMDR for the first time after months of psychotherapy.
I felt like a lot came up in EMDR but my goodness I fully come off my hinges the next day, I cried I screamed, I smashed plates I smashed an old phone. Etc.
What?! My therapist said I’d be a bit sensitive but …. This feels excessive.

Does anyone have any advice of what to do, what helped them etc?

Greatly appreciated thank you

Ok we’re planning on a second baby but a lot of logistical things keep popping into my mind.
And my anxious brain is solving a lot of the problems but this one I’m struggling with particularly.

Let’s say I want to go for a day to myself (walk round shops, see a friend, go swimming etc) and I have a 6 month old breastfed baby and a 3.5 year old.

How does my husband care for a baby plus our child? Even loading the car up to go out we live on a busy road …his does he take both kids out etc.

I’m spiralling.
