I know someone who took the board exam and failed twice. Before her third attempt, she consulted a “manghuhula” who gave her a prayer or set of words to recite every night before going to sleep. The words were in a language I can’t understand. Eventually, she passed the board exam and went on to become very successful; she’s a millionaire now.

I'm not sure what that prayer or ritual would be called, so I assumed it might be an incantation. Is it possible that such an incantation could have influenced her success? Also, meron bang kapalit yun na masama aside from the success? 

I'm simply curious and would appreciate any insights. This person is dear to me.

I can only imagine the lonely nights and the frustration that come with being apart from someone you love and not being able to hold them when you want to. It really requires a significant amount of sacrifice from both people, which makes their commitment all the more admirable.

As a trentahin at introvert, hindi ako gaano masyadong fan ng small talk. Tapos paano kapag during work/busy hours and mas mataas yung posisyon or mas matanda sayo yung kausap mo, how do you end a convo respectfully?

May sinusunod kasi kaming quota so fast-paced yung work environment namin kaya wala talaga time masyado mag chat. Like for example may tinanong lang ako saglit sa kanya tapos nag-thank you na ako. Kaso sa huli biglang babanat pa siya ng "So kamusta ka naman?"

Haha hindi ko naman pwede sabihin na "Okay lang naman po ako, Byee."

Simula nung teenager ako problema ko na talaga ang pimples. Sabi ng tatay ko, "Okay lang yan, at least alam mong bata ka pa". Haha ngayon, malapit na ako mag-32 y/o pero ayun may pa-isa isa pa rin, pero malinis naman ako sa mukha/katawan. Yun nga lang pag may gumaling na isa, may susulpot na naman haha, kaya problema ko ang acne scars. Ang nakakatawa pa, pag may lakad ako, tska talaga sila lumalabas.

Alam ko namang isa sa mga causes yung genetics, stress at pagiging oily. Gusto ko lang malaman kung hindi lang ako nag-iisa? 🥲

1st year college ako non, tapos hindi pa ako masyadong close sa mga classmates ko. Habang nakapila ako sa elevator, may na-recognize akong kaklase ko. Kumaway siya at nag “Hi” back din ako 👋🏻. Ngumiti siya at habang  papalapit, ineexpect ko na kakausapin niya ako. Kaso nagulat ako kasi nilampasan niya lang ako. Yung tao pala sa likod ko ang kinakawayan niya at hindi ako 🤦🏻‍♀️. 

Parang gusto ko nang lamunin ng lupa pagkatapos ng encounter na yun haha. Simula non, nag-try na ako mag suot ng salamin kasi hindi ko talaga makita sa malayo kung may nakatinging mata sa’kin. Sorry din sa mga kumaway sa’kin pero hindi ko napansin. Sadyang malabo lang talaga ang mata ko 😂.

I have a fear of my own blood. May isang beses nasugatan ako, tapos nahimatay ako nung na-feel ko yung pain at nakita ko yung dugo ko 😂. Namalayan ko na lang maya-maya na na nakahiga ako sa sahig ng kusina namin.

I had a childhood accident na nasugatan ako ng malalim at maraming dugo ang nawala sa'kin. Pero pag nakakakita ako ng dugo iba, okay lang naman, hindi ako nagpapanic (I'm a doctor btw haha). Pero once ako na yung masaktan at masugatan, takot na takot na ako. Kahit pag tuturukan ako ng injection, nagiging anxious na ako 🥲. Pero pag ako yung magtuturok, okay lang sa'kin haha.
