So I got a demand notice even though I paid it but missed to attach the challan number. I submitted a response that it was already paid and attached challan receipt along with amount. But its been more than 25 days since I submitted the response but there has been no update and it still shows outstanding amount. What should be done?

I am in Vagator, and a salesman from a company called Kazaan caught us in the middle of the road and asked us to pick any card. Upon tearing it, one of my friends got “Congrats you win either a tablet, cash(10k), 3N2D holiday, watch”.
The salesman said the gift can only be redeemed after listening to their presentation of 60m.
But I wanted to play along and went with it. They made us fill names, personal details etc and started with thier presentation.
They basically were a travel agent who would provide luxury hotels with 50% discount like Hyatt, Hilton etc.
They charge a membership with min Rs 1L which gives 35 days trip anywhere in India. The forced us to take that membership but somehow we left that place.
In the initial card, we got the 3N2D which seemed pretty obvious now.

Anyone else faced this?

I filed my ITR-2 using Claude this time. So, I am just a SWE and not a finance guy, nor had much knowledge about taxes(now I do). I do not have any complicated investments; hence, I thought to do it myself instead of going to a CA.

So, overall my income is < 1cr, and I have RSU's, US stocks that were never sold, and a few Indian stocks and MF.

I have Claude Opus 4.8 MAX, and provided it with AIS, TIS, Form 26AS, Form 16 and other required documents, like LTCG/STCG etc(redacted). Overall, it did a pretty good job and explained each calculation carefully.
The only place it hallucinated was it asked me to file Schedule AL. Now, the limit of Schedule AL has been increased from 50L to 1 cr sometime back, but Claude's knowledge was not updated. Thankfully, I was aware of the updated limit, so I could point out the mistake.

I sat for almost 6 hours with Claude and reviewed and understood each section of the file before submitting, but it was worth it.

Now I have the confidence to file my own ITR along with my family members too. AI has really changed how we do things.

I had been doing SIP for the past 4 years and was under a financial advisor who invested my money is 17 different funds, and it didn't lead to a good gain. I have invested around Rs 26.4L and overall gain is 3.7L i.e. Rs29.2L. I have stopped all thos MF and trying to start afresh.

I am looking to invest Rs 70k per month.

I have decided to do SIP in the following four funds:

1. UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund - Rs 25k
2. ICICI Pru Balanced Advantage Fund - Rs 20k
3. Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund - Rs 15k
4. SBI Multi Asset Allocation Fund - Rs 10k

Risk Appetite - Moderate
Goal - Long term investment, no specific reason
Horizon - 10 years
Allocation - SIP
App Used - Groww
Why These Funds - I did some research on these and Nifty 50 automatically invests in India's top 50 blue-chip companies, plus i wanted a balance between debt and equity based on market valuations.

Please let me know your suggestions if this is good.

Hey all,
Which laptop would be good to buy for professional use? I saw reviews of Neo but wasn't much convinced.
My professional use would include coding, developing web, docker etc.

So, I share a flat with 2 other guys in a 3BHK. Both are grown-ass adults of age 27-28.
Both have alcohol daily, so obviously, most of the times they are either passed out or don't really care.

I like to maintain hygiene, so most of the times if something goes wrong in the flat, I mostly take the responsibility of getting it fixed, like calling plumbers, a maid, etc. Now, I do not have many issues with doing it, but at the end of the day, I am the one paying and they split it at the end of the month. By then, I spend most of the money and have very little in-hand cash.

Last month, I did few repairs and naturally asked them to take care of the payment for this. They started with abusing me and words like "will I become poor if I pay now", "i at the end of the day splits the money", so I kept the boundary that this is not my single responsibility and then it turned out to a heated arguement. I am now looking for a new flat.

Last month I booked a Colive PG in Bangalore.
First I paid 3k for reservation, and later paid 22k as the deposit.

1. I talked to the Sales guy and explicitly said that I wanted the room 102. And he confirmed the same, and hence I paid the deposit.
2. The move-in date was initially set to 28th Apr, which was some limitation in the app, and the sales guy said they will change it to 15th(which is my move-in date). But it never changed, and it generated a bill from 28th April-31st may and now shows a pending 25k.
3. Today, my room no got changed to some other and upon asking the sales guy, he said there is a corporate booking and he allotted someone else the room. And I can come stay for 15 days and will be shifted later to that room. What is then a reservation for?
4. So, I asked him for the deposit back, as I don't trust these guys. He says deposit cannot be refunded.

What should I do? Should I send a legal notice?

I have proofs, voice recordings, screenshots of everything.
