Friendship of 6 years down the drain

The thing is, I may appear to be behaving unreasonably or unnecessarily cold at first, but it was just because it's not the first time I have been cancelled on, having to pay extra money for a show she didn't even attend, even though promising she could. It just felt like I was being let down AGAIN.

She went out of her way to change the password to the account I used to get the e-ticket to enter the theatre which kind of hurt. I still managed to get into the theatre( I have my ways haha 😄)

And despite us having our ups and downs with conflict in the past(which wasn't a lot), we always rose above it by apologising or talking about it etc.

It seems so tiny, hence why I thought we could talk it out, and I was not trying to be too confrontational but wanted to know the truth so we could speak about it together, and I can understand why she did it.

I feel like I am being very reasonable here, but I don't know anymore. I surely can't be in the wrong, but I am keeping an open mind, so perhaps I am.

It just gives me grief because I don't understand why this had to happen :(

Doing advanced/professional ballet on flats?

I started ballet around 18, and I am doing pretty well so far. A year and a half in and I'm now at a solid intermediate level.

But I have a question. I've been told by my podiatrist that it probably wouldn't be a good idea to do pointe, because of the moderate bunions I had even before I started ballet, and my lower arches.

In that case, would I be able to continue ballet to am advanced level whilst just using ballet flats? I only need to reach an advanced/professional level used for contemporary dance companies as opposed to dance ballet dance companies. I'm not looking to be a professional ballerina, but to look like someone who is well versed and a pretty good ballet dancer(minus the pointe shoes)

Thank you

How to navigate life with the fear of climate change?

I myself, as an older teenager constantly deal with climate anxiety, but to tell you truth it's been like that since I was around 7 on and off.

It's a pretty scary thing to be honest, and although acceptance is major part of getting over it, I never fully can because it's knowing that I, and many others are actively harming the environment and furthering climate change too.

But also I don't want to spend my life feeling guilty about it, because I need to live life too. It's just that it feels hopeless because there aren't any solutions(I know there are some, and precautions that are being taken but it can feel that way sometimes).

It can suck too because lots of people my age aren't really thinking about it and don't care much, but with the awareness of this topic I can't switch that off.

Tips and advice on this?

Knee pain from dance

So I started dancing in September in college, and when dancing (doing ballet jazz, tap, commercial) I have NEVER had knee pain. But recently one of the routines we have started there has been lots of knees on floors and now I have knee pain. Yes it is manageable but I suppose I am just not used to it.

I suppose what I'm trying to ask is, this is normal, considering the choreography we have been doing right?

Feeling left out and a bit isolated + help please

I deleted tiktok and swapped it for insta, which might seem silly or counterproductive. But as someone in their late teens I knew it was a big step I had to take to be able to take some control of my my life again. My insta isn't really showingthe trendy stuff on thr algorithm because I use it as a professional account for work related things.

I go to a performing arts college too so me not having it is literally a big step, and I'm not in any Snapchat group chats and didn't understand the new memes or references which made me feel like I was so old lolsies. So naturally there is a massive distance and between me and them already.

I don't really have many friends in general, so most of the time have been lonely and I know social media gave me a false sense of community and belonging but I loved not feeling FOMO. But also I'll admit I'm much happier with just my insta.

But any tips for not being eaten alive by the loneliness, isolation, and FOMO?

Also any tips for what to do in my spare time to manage it better?

I keep on writing long sentences

Edit: Thanks so much for all the tips and insights!!

I'd say for the most part, my long sentences do make sense to read, flow well, and do not feel long-winded in the slightest. They actually seem to fit perfectly, and are detailed but do not have any waffle.

But it seems that it can be difficult to comprehend for some due to punctuation as well as vocabulary, but also it may just be the long form itself that throws off non writers or the average reader.

I feel like it is a helpful way to express myself, because it flows exactly like speech, which I'd say is the style of my writing. It mimics the way I articulate my speech by using pauses from commas, dashes, colons, and detailed information.

Maybe it's more about my writing being an acquired taste, that only a select few may enjoy.

Anyways, any tips on how to make them shorter, and also any idea why this is?

Do you reckon it's okay a mother taking a picture of a 13 year old who fel asleep masturbating, with their hands in their shorts, and shows it to her the next day to kind of make her feel bad, or make her feel ashamed, or any reason for that matter?

Well it happened to me years ago, and I feel mad about it, but I wondered if that was a correct move from my mum.
