So about the Vanguard enemies...
I've noticed some people getting absolutely swarmed by others for even daring to recommend ways of trying to deal with these enemies regardless of whether or not they defend the enemy design. I've seen people who think they should be nerfed get downvoted into oblivion and made fun of for trying to give people any amount of insight on ways to approach the enemies as they are right now.
That's not even going into some things I've seen in the various forums.
What is this?
Why are we suddenly so toxic as a community?
I don't think being so negative towards anyone trying to just be helpful is in any way a good thing.
New to Chaos Space Marines and the Tabletop in general! How's my first list looking? (Details in body text)
Detachment: Soulforged Warpack
Points: 2000 out of 2000
I feel I should also mention that I plan to use Daemonic Possession on the Chaos Predator Annihilator for the sake of beefing it up with the Soulforged Warpack Detachment Rule and to perhaps allow it to benefit from Vashtorr's +2 to Strength, but Vashtorr will otherwise be nearby the Forgefiends or Venomcrawlers (as noted in the image) depending on what sort of units my opponent plans to field.
I dunno what else I really have to say though, so I'd love some sort of feedback on the list, what you'd improve about it, what you'd change about it, etc. <3
Dark Angels are getting a Plasma Detachment in the Tabletop, so I felt inspired
Saw some people saying "We have proof they're removing reactions from their posts to cover up" and things along those lines, but DCON cleared that up in the Official Discord.
It's just Discord caching being weird.
So, as shown in this video (which I plucked from the Helldivers 2 Official Discord), there's currently a problem with the Flame Sentry, and by extension the Lumberer since it uses the same stats, not damaging enemies correctly at close range.
From what I've been able to find, to increase the range of the Flame Sentry and Lumberer's Flamethrower the original fire cone was shifted forwards, but they seemingly forgot to enable damage before the cone starts. This ultimately means that it has the same 20-24 metre damage range but it starts approximately 10-14 metres ahead of the Flame Sentry / Lumberer.
The other Flamethrowers (Flamethrower, Cremator, Torcher, Crisper, and Hot Dog) still do damage at point blank before the main projectiles start spawning, but they just deal less damage and still apply the burning status effect to enemies. That's of course a problem and has been a problem since they reverted the Escalation of Freedom changes to Flamethrowers, but the Flame Sentry and Lumberer Flamethrower don't even do that.
This is a pretty large problem for two options which are supposed to be strong in close range engagements and I hope Arrowhead are able to fix this quickly.
