Cheers! New Mod Intro

Hello, I wanted to introduce myself as a new moderator for r/bloodymarys. I have always loved bloody Marys and also love Cheladas. When I am at restaurants I will look at their photos to see what their garnishes are or quiz the restaurant when I get there. I love a Bloody Mary with a food skewer. As far as making a Bloody Mary at home I tend to like Zing Zang/Clamato mix. Today alas the store was out of Zing Zang, so I bought Mix Masters classic. That mix is a little tomato forward for me so I cut it with Clamato. There must have been a run on Bloody Mary Mixes for the holiday.

When I make a Bloody Mary at home the more toppers I can get, the better. I guess you could say I like a little snack with my drink. I don't measure exactly as I have been making them so long. I look forward to hanging out with ya'll.

Here is a photo of today's drink and ingredients.

In the glass

Tito's Vodka

1/2 Mix Masters classic

1/2 Clamato

Lime juice

Pickle juice

Worcestershire

Louisiana Hot Sauce

Reese horseradish

On the skewer

Tomato

Shrimp

Chomps jalapeno stick

Vlasic dill pickle slice

Olive

Sprinkle of lemon pepper on the skewer items

Submerged in the mix is another layer of the skewer ingredients.

On the glass is a lime wedge with a little salt on the edge of the glass.

Mod Introduction

Hello, I wanted to introduce myself as one of the new Mods for this community. I love all things tea, an avid tea drinker, I have 40+ kinds of tea and I am always looking for the perfect cup/variety/teaware. I am probably going to be the more modern side of teacups as alas I have no glorious teacup sets. Today in honor of Fish for Tea Friday I am showing off a cute pink speckled cup with a kitty cat lid and her fish teaspoon. The lid is great to use while steeping and keeping the tea warm and the fish spoon works to give the milk and honey or sugar a good stir.

I look forward to participating in this subreddit and seeing all your beautiful and unique tea things.

Pay For Parking Now At The Fold: Botanos & Bar

The Fold: Botanos & Bar in Little Rock made a social media post today that parking is no longer free.

The post:

" 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠

After 10+ years of providing free parking for our guests, the lot we've leased space from is becoming paid parking, and we unfortunately won't be able to continue offering it for free to you guys. We're actively working with other awesome neighbors to find another nights-and-weekends solution, but in the meantime, street parking is your best bet. Believe us, we hate this as much as you do, but we're doing everything we can to figure out another solution. We'll keep ya posted!"

Stationery Store Little Rock?

Does anyone have a stationery store recommendation in Little Rock area? I have a family member looking for old fashioned writing paper, cards and nice ink pens with refills. I know about Vanness but they moved from a retail store on Cantrell to more of a warehouse than store location on Shackleford. I haven't been to the new location so I don't know about their paper products. Thanks

Synergy - The Sum of Two Parts Greater - Heidi's Son Samuel

Heidi and Henry

Heidi Klum & Henry Samuel

When the sum of two are parts are greater than the original it is called Synergy. I am not sure what you call it when it comes to human genetics but the Sum of Heidi Klum and Seal who created this beautiful young man named Henry Samuel is certainly Synergy or something.

Update on The Pseudoaneurysm in Calf

I have an update on the pseudoaneursym that developed in my calf where my thrombectomy was done. Original post on the PE and DVT thrombectomies I had 2 months ago Blood Clots, Doctors and Uncertainty

There are three treatment types for this rare thrombectomy complication, 2 non-invasive and 1 is surgery. I had to have the surgery. Basically a vein was leaking blood into a pocket formed next to my artery instead of flowing properly. This could have ruptured and been life threatening so it had to be fixed. I went into the hospital one day and had an angiogram to determine what the best surgical path was for the Vascular surgeon to take. The next day he did surgery and the 3rd day I was sent home to heal.

I can't drive for 2 weeks which was pretty shocking because I was driving 4 days after the 2nd thrombectomy. Fortunately I have friends and family who will take me places and help with my cats. My leg is wrapped with an ace bandage that is removed at night. The leg is stiff, I am using a cane to make sure I am stable . There is pain at the incision and surgical site.

I am very hopeful and positive I will properly heal this time.
