What would you consider a valuable collection?

My uncle who passed away this year left us with a very nice stamp collection. After the last few months of cataloging and research I know his collection is pretty impressive, I just don't know how impressive. I have a range of what I believe everything is worth and would like some insight from other collectors to help me gauge what I've got and how to move forward.
