I bought this device back in 2019/maybe 2020. If has worked faithfully in the Nest app since then along with my Nest OG thermostat, also purchased about the same time. US location.

The Camera in the last few days has had a solid green light and no video at all. I’ve tried factory resetting it but to no avail. The moment it’s plugged back in the light goes solid green. Even the light around the doorbell area is gone. Pushing the doorbell does zilch, no ring at all. I’m thinking it’s dead and gone at this point.

I have 2 options at this point: either try to install another Nest camera (wired) and force myself to use the Google Home app once and for all (bye bye beloved Nest app- sniff) or try to locate an OG Nest wired camera and see if that will work with the Nest app. Alternatively will an old Nest Hello camera do the trick? I’d rather not use the Google Home app for obvious reasons.

I think I have no choice and must go to the GH app but if there are alternatives I’d love to know. If I’ve missed pertinent info above let me know.

I'm looking for a new/better CC that can replace my unused BoA that (honestly) was given to years ago as a balance transfer CC for some personal checking stuff (I forget exactly what). It's been unused and paid off for years- I occasionally bring it out and pay for random small things (sub-$500) just to use the credit.

Looking at Strata Premier and Venture X purely as a travel card. Would use this pay for airline flights, hotels and rental cars (where possible- rental cars in Italy require special insurance which Sapphire covers).

I have an older car that needs to get its yellowing headlights polished. I tried a do it yourself kit but the results were bad and the yellow is back after a few months. Looking for a detail or car place that doesn’t charge a lot to perform this service. Please give me your best recommendations, thanks.

Bought a 3 pack eero Pro 6E as I need to replace my old TP-Link AC1750 with something a bit better since my ISP has bumped us up to 1gb service.

Planned layout is follows:

Main House: modem---->eero Pro6 E (router)---->switch

At the Main House switch is a CAT6 cable that goes to a casita location, and here's my Q

Casita: incoming CAT6 cable from Main House---->eero Pro 6E---->switch OR incoming CAT6 cable from Main House---->switch---->eero Pro 6E

I'm think the 1st config is the one I should do but need to be certain and that's why I'm posting

Hi all- been doing this a few years now with success. If anyone needs anything from the US let me know via DM. I'll be arriving on Sept. 15th. I always have some spare space in my checked in bag for a few things.

It works like this: you order things from <wherever> and ship to me. I bring it in my suitcase and then I go to Poste and send it to you. Simples! Before I send it to you, I show you a copy of the Poste receipt & you do a bonifico to me for the items and shipping. I've offered this for about the past 5 years. If you want to order it here in the US and ship to me or ask me to order it for you, then that's OK too as long as you send me a bonifico for it.

East Pas resident here- the AT&T people are becoming much more aggressive so watch out. I used to get 1 or 2 a month and always say politely "No thank you- not interested" and close the door. Then they started coming twice a week.

Today some kid rocks up loudly announcing himself in my driveway before ringing my doorbell. Practically yelling- I can hear him from back in my kitchen. I go to see what the noise is about- he starts his spiel and I say my thing and close the door. He keeps asking about my rear area- I tell him again NO THANK YOU. He doubles down and says I need to ask about the rear area. What part of no thank you did you not understand the 1st 2 times I tell him? He continues to ask while moving towards the door to my back area.

At that point I'm pissed. I open the door and loudly tell him to get the hell off my property and to never ever come back here again. He plays stupid and I indicate that both my Nest doorbell camera and my Blink camera are recording him- he gives me a stupid look and shuffles off. I had to follow him off my property and away from the neighborhood to make sure he was gone.

Whoever is recruiting these kids for AT&T had better tell them no means no. My neighbor 4 doors down is armed to the teeth, always in a bad mood and is just itching for a confrontation.
