One of my favorite traditions is the pilot planting a flag after landing back home.

I only started doing this after my shuttle program (STS-2, original I know). When my landings were shit we used to put the flags where the ol girl ended up finally stopping (theres a couple on the beach, and some from spin outs off the runway a bit further east), but now that we've learned how to properly land, once the shuttle is on final taxi after a mission the pilot hops out and plants a flag in this little area.

Some of these missions were simply going to the Mun to find a good base location with a lander (2xx-L), to completely retrofitting a space station (2xx-C), or even some SSTOs got in there for crew changes. It feels like a solid accomplishment when I go to the "meadow of heros" and plant a flag, even if it was just because we forgot Bill in the cupola during a crew change and had to go back up to get him.

Anyone else have fun traditions like this?

She busts the door open while I'm going #2, stares me down, and gives me a wink. I love this weirdo

Looking to get something like my old 99 Explorer

My explorer finally failed safety for rust, and it was my go-to work truck. It was easy to fix and maintain and did exactly what I needed it do, get me to work and back with all my tools and whatnot.

I'm looking to find another car/truck like that and I'm wondering whats the best reliabilty in older cars/trucks. I had a 91 Ranger for years and loved it, so I've been looking at some Rangers (99-02) near me for sale. I keep seeing a lot of dakotas as well but I have no experience with those and no idea if they're worth it.

I just need something that can get me, my gear, and tools to the docks, basically 20 mile round trip. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions

Do people just not realize that shooting randomly spots you on the map for the enemy?

I don't get why people have to jump into anything with a gun, and just shoot non-stop until they get out or die. I can't fucking stand when I'm trying to do some sneaky flank in a car or boat and some blueberry dumbass is on the gun just shooting at a helicopter 2000m away. Why? If I'm clearly straddling the border of the map, I like to assume that you can infer I'm not trying to get spotted.

It's to the point now I just either suicide from bounds out of spite, or I'll just hop out and go on foot and take the 10 minute walk to not be spotted.

So I don't know anything about twitch, but I think I did the loot drop thing right, it says all this but I don't have the items yet. Just lookin for some help

I sub'ed to 2 people playing the game with "loot drop" or whatever in their titles, and I see this (screenshot) but nothings in my game yet. Am I just being impatient or should it have arrived by now? It does say my STEAM account is linked as well so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not. Thanks for any help!

Is there a point to the Main base further down the line? Seems like COPs are the same exact benefits.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad about it, it just seems that currently theres no point in ever going back to the main base since it seems theres nothing you cant do at a COP that you can at MB.

I'm kinda new to this game so I dunno what the future plans are, but I feel like it would be better off having COPS stash only, no vendors, and you have to go back to Main to sell anything. Just curious here

It was nice seeing this idea come to life.

Drew it up bored at work, and it came out pretty damn close with a few modifications.

Is it weird to contact a seller after buying, about a locked trailer hitch?

I guess the seller left a bunch of maintenance receipts in the seat and it has their phone number on it. They had a trailer hitch on the vehicle with a lock in it and I'm gonna have to try and pick it or cut it if I can't, but would it be weird to contact them myself and see if they an send a key?

Finally made a munbase! Gonna use this bad boy to refuel everything around the Mun

When my mining station doesn't have any asteroids on it, This base is gonna mine the Mun and I'll send fuel up to the station with landers. Definitely gotta add more reserve tanks to the station.

Of course I forgot to add Landing gear to the base, so its sitting on the engines, but I was able to use some ibeams and trestles to support the weird sides. Hopefully I can stop it from sliding with proper landing gear that I'll have to send a team to set up. It's moving VERY slowly toward the top right side of the screenshot lol.

I have a space station around the orbit of the Mun and I use it for captured asteroid mining, but its been a minute since those poor guys have had any action. I do have a survey probe around the Mun still to find hotspots, but basically can I mine the surface in one spot and it'll never run out? Or do I need to have a base mobil enough to keep moving around to new spots?

I'd love to build a permanant structure, but if that isn't gonna work I guess I can always build a giant mining rig that can roll to a new spot.

Thanks in advance!
