Have been looking into budget magnifier. Are they really worth it? For Home defense I don't think it's necessary. Likelihood of needing to shoot 100+ yards away seems unlikely as I don't hunt. I like the idea of having magnifier but doesn't seem like it's needed. Can you convince me? What are the best ones. I've looked at Juliet micro 3 and the Holosun HM3x.

Got the budget Romeo 5 and on right side of handguard TLR light/laser and back up mbus sights. This or Mossy 590 would be go to for home defense. God forbid something like that ever happened. Thinking of getting the FPC cerakoted.

Mossberg is trying to get me to resend my 590 barrel in for a refinish because I took the heatshield off. They say I could have damged my barrel. There are some scratches and wear from taking the heatshield off but does it look like it needs a refinish?
I live in a 3 story townhome. The townhomes are connected. Am pretty sure its all concrete because you can't hear anything. Guy at gun store suggested turkey loads. Everything I've read or watched has suggested #4 or 00 buckshot.

How do you take the heatshield off a mossberg 590 that has ghost ring sight. I can't fit a credit card on both sides to not gouge the barrel. Electrical tape is preventing the barrel from moving. Has anyone done it and how did you do it?
Is $140 for a Mossberg 590 heatshield and barrel a good price for cerakote finish? Also $140 for a smith and wesson FPC handguard and barrel. Prices don't include disassembly.
