Budget 3 ft planted tank in Bangalore – need recommendations

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to build a 3 ft low-tech planted tank from scratch in Bangalore. The goal is a lush planted tank without CO₂, using a simple filter and light. I'll probably keep small schooling fish and some shrimp.

I also have an S-shaped piece of wood I'd like to use as the centerpiece if it's safe after proper preparation.

Looking for recommendations on:

- A good place to get a custom tank made.

- Best shops for plants, fish, and shrimp.

- Budget-friendly substrate and lighting.

- Whether a dense planted look is realistic without CO₂.

Any tips or store recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Suitable DAC suggestion ?

Got these an years and half years ago, working well.

But my 5year old mobile has given up on its jack.

Im not considering to get it fixed as of now .

So, Need suggestions on a DAC (type C to 3.5mm audio jack) at a good price too.

Watch Suggestion

Looking for some advice from fellow watch enthusiasts.

I'm considering three options:

  1. Buying a DWC Terra Titanium from a third-party seller (since it's currently unavailable from DWC).

  2. Waiting for the upcoming stainless steel Terra launch.

  3. Skipping the Terra altogether and getting a Timex Expedition instead.

For context, I already own a Seiko 5, HMT Vijay, HMT Gandaberunda, and a Casio A158W. I'm looking for something that offers good value, wears well daily, and has some long-term appeal as part of a small collection.
