How to ditch the binki?

My son is 7 1/2 months old, and loves his pacifier. We’ve never cared much and I started using it because of SIDs reduction. However, it’s becoming more of an issue lately with sleep and dependence. Should we just cold turkey him? I know he’s going to hate it, and it’s going to be a struggle, but I’d rather now than down the road in a year. How old was your LO when they came off the pacifier, and how did you do it??

This is why I love Vinted!

I usually see a lot of negative posted here, so I just wanted to pop in with a pretty awesome interaction/purchase I just had on Vinted. I hope you all meet sellers like this one day! 🫶🏼

Radio flyer canopy help!

Hello! I’ll be taking my son to the fair for the first time this august, and we just got a plastic radio flyer wagon for him to use while we’re there! However, it’s going to be hot and sunny, and I’d like him protected as much as possible. Do you have any advice on how I could finagle a canopy attachment for that specific wagon? I’ve looked online and the brand once sold an attachment canopy for this specific type of wagon, however they no longer do? So I guess my only option is to get creative. Any tips, tricks, and input is greatly appreciated! (If it comes down to me, an umbrella, and some screws with a drill that’s fine too haha) thank you in advance!

Bringing a 7-month-old to a 3-day summer jam band festival? Looking for cooling tips, general advice, and reassurance!

My sister-in-law is really hoping we’ll join her at an upcoming 3-day music festival. She’s bringing her almost 2-year-old, and we would be bringing our 7-month-old.
Before anyone panics, it’s a jam band festival, so it’s super low-key, not high-energy, and definitely not a massive, packed crowd type of event. It’s very family-friendly, and we plan on setting up camp way in the family camping section. Because it’s in the dead of summer, my absolute biggest anxiety is keeping my baby cool, comfortable, and hydrated in the heat. What are your holy grail items for keeping a baby cool outside? How do you handle naps when there’s so much going on? Have YOU gone through an experience (festival with baby) like this? I’d love to hear any general advice, hacks, or reassuring stories from moms who have survived (and actually enjoyed!) doing something like this with such a young babe.

Real/hand-drawn or AI?

A small business posted this new seamless print they'll be using for bamboo products they're having made. They specifically said it's custom & hand drawn BY THEM. Even after pointing out obvious reasons as to why (in my opinion) it's clearly Al rendered, they commented an Al generated response (LOL) doubling down that they
"purposely varied those details" to make it unique. I'm sorry, am I absolutely batshit crazy, or are they just trying to blow smoke and save face? I mean, the skateboard wheels, the trashcan handles, the cookie monsters eyes just, cut off? I'm just NOT trying to give my money (bamboo is expensive) to a small business that uses Al over their own skills, or the talent of actual hardworking artists they could hire.
