This is a dumb post but I just found dishwasher safe stainless steel water bottles at Walmart and am trying to teach myself rotary engraving! I have 2 bottles and am OBVIOUSLY putting ATL lyrics on at least one of them (might put either Taylor Acorn or Olivia Rodrigo lyrics on the 2nd, but am open to ATL too. Suggestions welcome for both bottles.) Any ideas for what lyrics I should put on there? I was initially thinking something from Coffeeshop Soundtrack since it's a favourite and I'm sure this bottle will see a LOT of coffee, but I want to hear other ideas, too. I am 0% committed to anything besides Having ATL Lyrics.

I have been looking for the LYR patches for AGES, specifically Alex's and Jack's. I have literally never seen any up for sale on any marketplace. Has anyone seen them before? Can anyone tell me where I might have luck? Or are they so rare that I should just throw in the towel?

Has anyone ever thought about the potential of a Tell Me I'm Alive x Certified Depressant (Taylor Acorn) title tracks mashup? They're both relatable, have similarish themes, and would mesh sonically in a near-perfect way. Maybe I should try to do this on my cello 😂

Also "I'm a wreck, I'm a mess, I'm a certified depressant" is the cousin of "I'm messy, I'm reckless, I fuck shit up for breakfast." It's just fact.

What's a song that you were ambivalent to as a teenager but hit HARD by as an adult?

For me, it's Going Away to College (blink-182). 15 year old me would have ranked it pretty low in the album and now it's easily one of my favourite songs ever. I think it's a song people can fully appreciate as they get more life experience.

Listened to PUOSU for its 20th anniversary and I am FASCINATED by the evolution of Running From Lions. I listen to TPS extremely frequently and Running From Lions is sort of acousticish and chilled out on that record. The rerecording is much heavier and more complex. I never thought about it much but I am now, and I love both versions. Stripped down and calm is awesome. Punky and sharp is awesome. It's a win/win

Spent my evening yesterday chowing down on chocolate pretzels after a fun gummy and watching this lovely video. I think it's one of the few full shows from this time period on YouTube. It was an absolute blast and extremely nostalgic. Thought I'd share it in case anyone wanted to follow suit and enjoy some older ATL songs.

I love The Party Scene deeply. It's absolutely one of my favourite albums of all time. Circles especially is one of my all-time favourite songs, and I listen to it probably literally daily.

Sometimes I wonder why it never made it onto PUOSU, which gets me considering why ATL might have chosen the songs they did more generally. I imagine that The Party Scene song was added as the title track, and Lullabies has special meaning to Alex. And I imagine that all the other wonderful bangers they transfered to PUOSU were also just generally liked by both the band and fans.

EDIT: I genuinely love all the songs I just am asking these things in a very speculative way because I dont necessarily think the ones they kept are better than the ones they cut. Some are. They all have upsides and no real downsides. And yet...

But why did they cut the songs they cut? Circles was their lead single from TPS and had a great public reception. Noel is a standout track on every level and We Say Summer is the perfect anthem. And yet they weren't chosen.

I know we won't ever get an official answer, and I really do respect the guys' current wish to distance themselves from TPS. We all think our teenage writing is cringe even when it's Good. I just am curious what people think of the decisions made and what reasons you think they might have had.

Also, secondary question, would you switch any out if you could? For example, I probably wouldn't have kept Break Out Break Out and I would switch it for Noel. And I'd take anything off the EP besides Coffeeshop Soundtrack if it meant I could have Circles.

This is just an appreciation post for Falling for Strangers. First time I listened to Everyone's Talking it was solidly in the middle of my album rankings but over time it has become my 2nd fav on the album (after Little Bit) and definitely top 10-20 ATL songs. SUCH a grower. Anyone else love it?
