Any thoughts on retrospekts repair service?

I got a sx-70 untested from Depop. The thing focuses shoots and dispenses film but no matter the environment or exposure it produces black streaky film with no image. I want to send it in to retrospekt to get it looked at and or repaired. I saw some people joking on here after receiving a messed up camera from them saying “average retrospekt repair. Lol”
Just wondering your guyses experience with them and if there’s other places I should look in to. Or hey, since I’m new maybe I’m doing something crazy wrong and my camera isn’t even broken. Thanks!

can I use 600 film

I just got a sx-70 that looked nice for cheap. It was untested but it looked nice enough. I’ve seen discussion on being able to use 600 film with a filter of some sort (correct me if I’m wrong I’m a bit new to this). If I don’t use the filter is 600 film usable to see if it even works, I don’t care if the image is washed out or bad. I do have sx-70 film coming in the mail but my target sells 600 so in the interest of me being curious and not wanting to wait for the sx-70 film I’d like to see if I can use 600. Thanks yall!

Binding safety what to watch for

Tw unsafe binding?/////

Hey guys! I wear my binder pretty unsafely from what I can tell. I have really long days with college and I’m a commuter so there is so place for me to take it off for any period of time. The longest I’ve worn it is 22 hours straight. Average is around 15 hours. I even wear it during band camp and football games for my collegiate marching band which for sure breaks the no strenuous activity rule. All this to say. I am NOT condoning or glorifying this, I have issues, and I’m trying to get better at taping so I don’t have to do this anymore. All this being said I have suffered no ill effects after doing this for about a year. Occasionally my lower ribs will hurt or I’ll have a hard time catching my breath but all the issues immediately go away when I take the binder off, there’s no long term issues. However if I’m starting to really injure myself I’d like to know. So basically what are some things to look out for? I can’t really find a concise explanation. Do people experienced bruising? How do I know it’s hurting me?

Passing tips?

I used to pass a little when I was 14 but now that I’m actually trying (binding) I really don’t? I’m 19 now and I can only assume it’s because now that I’m older all the guys are bigger than me? Maybe my voice? I’d take advice on that too… Idk if there’s anything about my appearance that would help lmk! I’m pre everything and don’t want to tell my family for the time being.

I wish I could transition

I’d be ok with not being trans too. I just want an answer as to what I’m supposed to be. I feel like I can’t decide. I want to be a man but the thought of my family judging me makes me sick. They aren’t homophobic just gossipey. I also want to be a teacher and am in college for it now. The way the world is going I’m afraid I’ll get my degree and be fired or hurt because people are afraid of trans people. I used to pass when I was 14 but now that I’m in college I’m so small compared to the men and I haven’t passed in years. I was trans and convinced myself I wasn’t and now it’s creeping back in. I’m afraid I’ll regret staying a woman and I’ll regret becoming a man. I just wish I could be cis and happy but every time someone calls me a girl I feel sick. I read as a lesbian which is fine but I get asked my pronouns all the time and I just can’t say he because I know I don’t look like one and it’ll just confused everyone. Idk. This just sucks. I wish I could at least take T. I feel so lost and I can see my younger years that I could be living as a man slip away every day. I don’t want to disappoint my grandparents. I hate this :(

What upgrades to make?

I have a rollplay Mini Cooper I want to make rideable for me. Surprisingly I at my adult age can fit in this and it will probably be better once If I move the seat back. It’s only 6v and appears to have only one motor but a hole for another. It also says weight capacity is 77lb. I’m 130lb. I know this is a lot of asks and maybe not possible but here are my questions.
-What’s a reasonable battery to put in? I’ve seen lots of 24v but since I’m starting with a 6v I’m not what’s possible.
- what motors do you recommend?
-am I basically going to have to rewire everything to get a second motor or higher voltage battery?
-is weight capacity more like the load bearing structure of the body or how big you can be before the motors start to struggle?
-how to Increase weight capacity?
Any answers at all would be great! Thanks!

Rust repair?

I got my little Mazda 2 around a year ago, pictured on the left is when I got it and on the right is after one Wisconsin winter. I wasn’t driven much before me. I’m in love with this car and I want to make it last. Can this kind of rust be repaired in a body shop and what prevention methods can I use before or after to prevent more rust. This Wisconsinite needs help, thanks!

Advice on broken figma?

My Pit broke shorty after I bought him a few years ago. I emailed figma on advice on fixing him but they just responded with something to the effect of “we didn’t break it, we don’t care.” Any advice on how to help him? The post and the hole for the joint are both very intact. I just assume the didn’t put him together all the way in the factory. Thanks and sorry if this isn’t the right place for this!
