My favorite theory that won't be true but I thought it will interesting development, Hydes aren't actually natural species, but a "Mutated engineered versions" of Werewolfs, that were created in Willow Hill.

Okay listen to me here, I know some people here got tired over the hydes topic and think they are overused, me too in some regards but I personally just find them more wasted in potential and weak writing, rather than not be interesting by themselves.

* I also will address it here right now, of curse it doesn't make sense this theory because Hydes were existed longer than that as we told in season 1, but here the idea anyway.

* also this theory is sort of my first "process" to start analyzing of Enid and Tyler reflected journeys.

I'm sure everyone here that ever though on what be a hyde will feel like was probably found it a bit...awful?

Hydes are an outcasts among outcasts, they are considering too violent, unstable and unable to be trusted of.

However it go deeper than it, hydes as it own kind are the definition of slaves, they see the person who unlocked their hyde form as their master, hydes also unlock their forms for the first time only in painful, emotional hurt and traumatic ways.

Basically, hydes seem to be born to a fucked up lifes with limted agency and rejection, the thing is, it sound very unnatural existence, I know in some stories and shows and fantasies worlds things like that are part of the world building with slaves specie, but I like to think it something else.

Hydes to me work a bit similar to werewolfs, why?

  1. Transformation into some beast like creature, very dangerous and in under some roles/conditions.

  2. It seem to be rally on their emotional state.

  3. I won't elaborate much on this this time but Tyler and Enid seem to have "opposite journeys" and arcs in the show, adding to the parallels between Werewolfs and Hydes.

My original theory(before remembered Hydes were comfirmed to be studied years ago by Weems word), is that Willow Hill and the Stonehearst family(Judi father) or his previous superiors ones in the asylum had an early concept of stealing Outcasts abilities, but different method, try to use Werewolfs patients biology to experiment on Normeis and make a Mutated engineered versions of Werewolfs.

Hyde has werewolfs aspects but the opposite of werewolfs:

  1. Change form to dangerous beast, but look like unhealthy zombie versions of themselves.

  2. Werewolfs live in packs, Hydes are sort of looniler by nature.

  3. Werewolfs wolf out shown in postive way as freedom, Tyler mother and Issac describe it as curse that imprisone their life, which they aren't wrong.

  4. All the wepoanize accept of werewolfs but without the accept that will avoid them be controlled by someone, on the opposite, hydes naturally seem to be force obey their masters, even physically believe they should at first even their masters tortured them(however Laurel and Tyler condition may be different).

In the end those plans ended and Willow hill changed path, but they were enough patients who got changed by those experiments and over the years spread the hydes dnd across their families, part of why they are so small in numbers and lacking information of them.

It can also be a key part of Enid and Tyler maybe end things on nicer terms? Tyler in season 3 and I don't see what else they will give him aside redemption arc, so him and Enid sort of partnership can be a way to nicely end this. Obviously in that case something else made hydes be werewolfs Mutated versions of themselves.

What do you think?

Opinion: I don't have anything against the actorss, but I think why most of us found her disappointing is because she was purely meant to move the plot.

Nothing that Judi does in this show make sense if we think about her actions before and after it.

Judi is basically the one in charge of Lois experiments, she is an avian(with weird limtions but we will get to this). She want to hide the secrets of her father work and maybe continue it? The thing is, Judi character, aside have poor villain reveal, doesn't line up with anything really.

  1. Judi sent an assissan to kill all the lois experiments that escaped for noone else will know about it, and...that it, not try to restore them, okay I guess, make sense considering her facility is off activity, nothing too critical but still weird because like she said, they are her father life work.

  2. Judi mentioned how she emptied her money budget whatever to hire the assassin, the thing is, if money is a problem, why the heck keep all the patients alive for 20 years if they are in the same state and no results, it not like the show even suggested other normies who got powers, only Judi, in fact, we don't know for sure how if there is more, but...it a problem by itself, Judi story with Lois exist just to set up Isaac technically to remove his sister hyde curse.

  3. The crow in the end suggesting either Judi wasn't the real avain or there is another...bur Judi didn't used her own crows to hunt the patients that escaped, why? In fact we never actually see her using them, instead when she attacked Enid in the school, but it is still too inconsistent.

  4. Why attack Enid? She just saw her and Wednesday talk, it may was to Wednesday actually, but she still have fouced Enid, was it just mislead or what?

Basically I can continue but you see? Judi has no more motivation or personality than basic to move the plot, she is revealing herself in ep 4 ending and after two scenes in ep 5 she die immediately.

Her story overall was interesting, but a bit wasted because the writing made her just a tool to move plots or threat characters, whatever it make sense or not, because it not even a mystery, just confusing aspects of the writing.

Am I the only one who thought this scene they kept teasing us in season 2 promotion was more significant part of the season?

They kept teasing it in the teasers and official poster, I remember thinking it will be something that will happen more in the middle of the season than be just first 6 minutes and that it.

I thought that because we saw Wednesday giving Enid one of the dolls, and they moved themselves, so the new villain(Don't remember if I thought it was the stalker) will have a thing with possession and the dolls will kidnap Wednesday to poss her or something and Enid was one of them(or the one who save Wednesday from it).

What did you thought it was? Not gonna lie this gave me vibes from the movie "saw" and I was kinda thought it will be a cool horror moment, still happy with what we got but I assumed it will be more important.

Interesting topic I never saw anyone talk about, what kind of new villains you want to see in season 3?

Not what villains you don't want to see or what villains you think we will get.

what you would like to see? something new for the show, new characters/groups, anything.

I find the question what the antagonistic side would be in season 3 interesting because I remember despite all the theories, season 2 had a primay villains completely unexpected, yet it was make sense because season 1 didn't sugget much aside a mysterious stalker with no clues and Tyler may be free.

personally, I have something for both, I want to see a new enemy that is more a be a rival to Enid, basically one of the werewolf who is a threat to Enid as Alpha in season 3 while she begin hunted.

however it would also very likely because it sort of what they set up.

In fact season 2 left us with much more possibilities to new enemies (Capri, Opehelia, Crow still out there in the last shot).

but what are your hopes/ideas?

Something that confuses me, why the tie defender project was even in risk because of the Death Star and was easily be able to shut down if Thrawn was literally a Grand Admiral?

It not something serious, this show isn't require to be that full of details and I accept it, however I wanted to do extra exploration on that and I feel that realistic, it doesn't make sense?

Think about it, in a galactic empire that rule over thozend of systems, Grand Admiral is the highest military rank and if I remember correctly, there were never above 12 Grand Admirals at the same time, it insane how much authority and influence they technically suppose to have.

However, one of Thrawn greatest challenges, in Rebels and the Novel "treason", his project is in a huge risk to even be founded due to the Death Star required so many credits and resources, however, it feel a bit weird how they handle it.

First off, by Rebels show only, not novels or extra content, Pryce destroy the fuel supply on Lothel was deadly to the project and Thrawn literally said it ruined it(of course in the Novel "treason" we learn that >!(Palpatine was furious on Thrawn and the project was likely doomed anyway!<), but it doesn't make sense to me.

It was only five fuel depots, why is it that a problem for a empire that raplce things like nothing since her start of existence even with the death star? Technically, and that one is seriously confusing, the Death Star as expensive project still doesn't suppose to truly be a problem for the Tie Defender project, think about it:

  1. Thrawn is a Grand Admiral, by logic he is suppose to have authority and resources with no problem. The empire had so many projects even with the death star, Thrawn suppose to have an authority deny smaller projects for his one.

  2. The Empire is her prime had 25,000 star destroyers, like...can't Thrawn dammed not keep founding or buy or whatever new ships and save that money for his project?

  3. Thrawn made a hell of security defense over Lothel system that probably was expensive as hell, but like...as Grand Admiral his entire plan can be only located in literally one planet? Why limited his project to Lothel? Especially when the Rebels focusing on that planet specifically and often, no way Thrawn can only do shit there just because Pryce or something, again, his project could have been easily developed in other planets as well(I know it for the show story to happen, but I'm talking realistic).

Please explain to me if I missed something, because there is no way shut down Thrawn project(Novels or show) was that easily or in risk considering who and what Thrawn is.

Also yes in the end of the series >!Thrawn was disappeard to Peridea!<, but it doesn't explain already in ep 9 of season 4(even before the novel and Palpatine mad at him), Tarkin tell Thrawn is project at risk.

Any thoughts? People tend to talk a lot of Thrawn was right his plan better and more useful than the Death Star, but in my opinion he should have no problem to have his project and the death star as well.

It not secret this show redeemed Marrok for a lot of people, and it great thing! His voice, his look, his skills, are all great.

But the thing, if Marrok will die this season, this will be the second time he appear as returning characters and get zero(while limted, he give me veey professional kind of guy) personality, and barley any explanation.

Now it not really a problem of it on, but I feel like as one of the most unique design(only one without imperial symbol on his suit), one of the two inquistiors who we actually got a name for, and be one of the skilled one, I think the writers should give him a bit more aside aura moments, I don't want ever to see what is he like(as living one) behind that helmet, but I would really love some more details of him, was he joind willingly or by forced to the inquistiors? Maybe some backstory? Any more personality aside barely talk?

Again I still love him, but I think we can benfit for him surive in season 2 and explore him a bit more, after all, can't imagine he will just die, maybe quike moment of night magic to revive him to be brainwashed to Maul or someone, and that it, but who know.
