Thought these would be cooler than a metal heron. So far, so good!

I have a 401k from a previous employer. I also have student loans. One of the loans is a 3.5% interest rate, which will amount to about $15,000 over the life of the loan (2048). If I withdraw the 401k, I’ll have enough to pay it off completely, and lose $8,000 in penalties, fees and taxes. Not ideal, but $15,000 > $8,000, so I’m considering it.
My question is will I be hit with additional taxes when I file (married, jointly) in April.
Live in Ohio. Household income is north of $200k.
I think that’s all the relevant info, but please let me know if I can provide anything else.
Thank you!
I think this is my first post here. Hello!
I currently have a mini compressor and a fairly cheap airbrush I got from Amazon. It works…fine. It’s somewhat consistent, and I’ve always attributed any inconsistencies to human error (mixing paint incorrectly, dirty parts even though I clean it religiously).
I’ve been reading this sub for a little bit, and I see people talking about specific brands of airbrushes and types of compressors, and how they affect ease of use, cleaning, etc. I think I’m ready to upgrade, I’d just like to know what and why. Basically what I’m looking for, and why it will improve my experience.
I paint action figures, mostly 6-7” WWE/Marvel, etc.
And of course, any recommendations for specific models of airbrushes and compressors are welcome.
Thank you!
Made strawberry daiquiris tonight, and I can’t get into the space between the plastic shell in the back. I tried a toothbrush and a straw cleaner, but couldn’t get the angle to remove anything. Very curious to hear any suggestions!
I have a reclaimed cabinet that I got for $50, which is great. Monitor was $30. And my brother in law just gave me an RP4 he had lying around. Previously, I’d been hunting and obsessing over finding the perfect gaming PC, but now I’m realizing that I probably won’t be actually play many of the more demanding games/systems. (It was a real gut check). However, I definitely want to be able to play shooters, as they - and beat em ups - were my jam growing up.
House of the Dead series for starters. Time Crisis. Virtua Cop. Games that I doubt will run on the RP4. (Maybe I’m wrong, I just started learning about them.)
Basically I’m wondering what options I have. Are there builds I can explore JUST for shooters, and then swap between the shooter system and the RP4 system somehow as I’m playing? Like a DVD/VCR kind of setup?
Or, am I just better off looking for a gaming PC. I’m thinking a lot of the shooters would require a gaming PC, so if I wanted to play them I’d have to get a gaming PC anyway, kind of eliminating the point of the RP4. I love it because if was free, and this project has been such a pleasantly financial surprise.
Would love to hear the community’s thoughts.
Also, if anyone is in or near Cleveland, with a system you’re looking to unloaded that might fit my vision, please reach out. I hate Marketplace.
Thank you!
I recognize some of the characters. Wondering what these are. Capsule toys would be my first guess. But I did a quick search and didn’t see any that looked exact.
