Just a dream - but the Kobo store working on these e-readers would be heaven

That would just be amazing. I mean fuck Bezos, but I love my Kobo Readers and the store, it's fantastic.

Someone make this happen lol

I will be emailing Kobo with this as a suggestion though. It would be the perfect ereader if it could sync books from my Kobo account.

Nuphy WH80+gateron Jade HE Silent+custom keycaps

Red is my least favorite color, but, the WH80 does have those red switches for modes which I love, but hate the read, so instead of trying to paint them, I found this keycap set that I think really works with this keyboard. The Gateron HE Silent are pretty great too. And then found a little gamer themed red keycap for ESC too.

This map is a good start - courtesy of CNBC

This is a decent starting point at least. I'd take ND out because I need a city with culture and diversity, and MN due to the weather. Weather also knocks out Maine and NH, Mass a maybe, CT a no, NY & Northern NJ a big yes. Colorado is a yes, Washington a yes, and Cali a yes. The only state I would be away from the coast for is CO. Nothing South of NJ on the East coast works at all. They are all hard noes. Including Virginia.

Need a web interface already

It would be so much nicer to be able to respond to messages on our puters.

With Hinge and Bumble I can use the Bluestacked emulator to do that easily, but Feeld doesn't work on this easy to use emulator. It's 2026 folks, let's get this figured out!

Nuphy 75 HE V2 with funky refraction keycaps

Rei Ayanami Refraction Unit-00 Keycap Set - stock Jade Dragon-N switches. I have tried various HE switches, and I find the Dragon-N nicer than the UFO and Jade Ultras, which I also like. It's just a richer creamier thocky sound compared to them.

The almost final setup...

Will be swapping one keyboard out for my Nuphy Air75 V3 once the silent switches come in. I need to upgrade the desks at some point but all my focus has been on gear for this and multiple other hobbies. So right now just two Ikea desks in an L formation. Pretty nice hi-fi setup there; Schiit Bifrost 2 and a Monolith Liquid Platinum amp with some great rare tubes - gaming with the HE 1000 Stealth V3 is nuts. Minus the desks a little, it has a nice vibe when I am at my battlestation, so it works for me.

32" curved Gigabyte monitor for scale. PC is a very high end build from last year before RAM prices went bonkers, thank god.

Endgame woke gaming keyboard - Customized Made68 Ultra +

Gateron Jade Ultra switches, custom side-lit keycaps. Pac-Man keycaps and a super Mario bros ESC key

Love the 65% format for gaming, this sounds creamy, and the software is simple and works. It's no wootility but it's easy to use and gets the same job done.

The amazing insanity of the M43 format

This is how I'm bringing my camera and lenses to Yosemite. Body is an OM Systems OM5 Mk II. So it is a small body, if you did get a higher end body like the OM1 or OM3, it would be a bit bigger and you'd need just a slightly bigger bag. But in this bag is that body and three weather sealed Pro lenses, and Olympus are known for extremely high-quality optics. A 12-45mm F4 Pro, a 7-14mm F2.8 Pro, and a 40-150mm F4 Pro. That is the FF equivalent range of 24-90mm, 14-28mm, and 80-300mm - all a constant F4 aperture, and all weather sealed and professional level optics.

The size and weight of those same level lenses for FF would be insanely more. Insanely! This is a very impressive feat. I remember in Istanbul like 15 years ago just not having fun lugging around heavy gear to get shots. Then I discovered M43 when I got back to the US and it changed things!

That is a tiny camera insert for a Greenroom Metromonger sling bag fyi I'll probably bring the 60mm macro pro lens in a little lens pouch.

Photography is more enjoyable when you aren't lugging around giant heavy gear, at least in my opinion. I am looking to get a new body in a couple of years, if they come out with a second OM3 with an actual grip built in the body.

First 60% keyboard, and first Wooting

First 60% keyboard ever, and first Wooting. So far so good, it feels great. I'm digging the 60% layout a lot, now I'm gonna shop for other 60 keyboards lol. I wish it was wireless but it's not bad with the silver cable I bought. Also, the software is very good but, can't say it's anything that much better than Nuphy's, at least from my setup. I used Gateron Jade Ultra switches, and an anime inspired keycap set from Etsy. I have never watched anime, but I like the aesthetic. My Monsgeek M1 V5 has another great keycap set. Also have a set of Owlab Ti HE switches coming to compare. A lot of Battlefield 6 coming up tonight.

Why no wireless options? It's 2026 folks, it works fine. (Wooting)

I posted this on the Wooting subreddit and got downvoted - it's like they revolted at the idea that wireless is even a good idea or feasible - as if there aren't people who just like the visual aesthetic of a cable free desk setup. I edited it as you will read below. Why do you think people hate the idea of wireless keyboards other than the fact their preferred brand doesn't make them?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't think of any tech or logical reason not to offer wireless as an option on the keyboards. Mice have much much more going on every second with position changes and data that has to get transferred back and forth than a keyboard, and it's accepted in competitive gaming.

Why in the world is Wooting holding back? Maybe because they would charge over $300 for a wireless 60% layout keyboard?

Edit: So basically it's just fanboys who have no real argument. I ordered a 60HEv2 to see what the hype is about, and I will be honest with how I feel about it. If it's great I'll keep it. I ordered the module and a separate case - I have the switches and keycaps I prefer. I did order an epomaker cable because paying Wooting $49.99 for their cable is insulting.

But it's funny to see fanboys just do mental gymnastics to justify no wireless options with zero logical or technical responses. It's all just fanboy-ism, which I have been susceptible to, it's a real thing.

I went through a journey trying some mechanical switches on a ROG Azoth keyboard and just couldn't find one that was perfect for home office use, personal use, as well as some sweaty gaming sessions. It was one or the other. So I went to HE keyboards. I love having two profiles - one for gaming and one for typing. I do like the Air75 V3 mech switches, and it's quite portable, so a nice to have.

At home I ended up with a Lemokey P1, Monsgeek M1 V5 HE, Nuphy WH80, and a Nuphy Air75 V3. At the office I have an Aula F75 Max, because I wanted a number pad for work.

I will say out of every mech switch I tried and HE switch, I think the F75 Max has a top performing switch for typing. It's just the right balance of feel and sound IMO. The F75 Max negatives are the RGB lighting is low, and the south reflecting shine through keycaps are not for everyone. Some mech switches I tried were the Asus NX Snow (which are quite good, and I don't like Asus), Gateron G Speed silver pro V3.0, Gateron Ghost Keyboard Switches, Gateron Black Ink V2 pros, and Cherry MX2A Reds that were hand-lubed by the seller. I just didn't want to keep spending tons of money on mech switches to find something that was the best of both worlds, when I learned I could customize actuation times with HE.

Of the HE keyboards, the Lemokey P1 has the quietest/creamy switches, I put on the Orange version of their proprietary switches, a lighter actuation point than the stock purple ones. This is a major downside of the Lemokey, Keychron has went with the ugly move of only letting them be compatible with custom Gateron switches done as a collab. You can't use any other HE switches on this board. However, it works for me because I like the switches, and it's the quietest of the three - which means if I have a guest, it's what I'll use for a late night intense gaming session.

The M1 V5 Astrolink switches are lovely, and so are the stock WH80 switches - they are of a similar style. I enjoy the sound and feel on these - a bit more to the clacky side than thocky, but it's quite pleasant still. I may sell one of the HE keyboards but honestly right now, I would have no clue which one.

My requirements were - cherry profile keycaps, 75-80% layout, HE, volume knob, profile switching shortcuts, and I preferred north facing LED's, but compromised on the Monsgeek for that one thing. There were multiple amazing keyboards I totally passed on because of no volume knob btw. It's a must have for me. Stupid to not have one for my use case. My PC is my entertainment center, I need volume control like that.

Software ratings - Nuphy>Lemokey>Monsgeek>Aula. Thumbs down to Lemokey/Keychron and Monsgeek for not letting you customize the keystrokes to change profiles. Huge props to Nuphy for having a manual profile switch.

If anyone wants to ask comparison questions, by all means, shoot.

Lemokey - Put on the keycaps from my ROG Azoth as I love them. They are my favorite cherry profile keycaps I have tried. WASD textured keycaps as well, from Amazon.

Monsgeek - stock keycaps, textured WASD ones from 3d keycaps

Nuphy Air75 V3 - shine through Womier low profile keycaps.

WH80 - stock keycaps, which I probably will change, and textured WASD keycaps from Amazon.

I have tried a whole bunch of textured WASD keycaps and these two are my favorite I've found.
