Anyone else always miss their first jump onto Phalanx?

Been playing SoTC on and off since around 2012, but without fail I somehow almost always screw up the initial jump after deflating Phalanx’s airsacs (or Wander decides he doesn’t want to grip onto its wings for some reason).

It’s basically tradition for me at this point.

Just finished my first play through……. and I don’t think I can go through that ending again ;(

I watched a let’s play when TLG came out so I *very vaguely* remembered some story beats, yet I still wasn’t prepared for the ending sequence, damn you Fumito Ueda for making a grown man cry with your beautiful games.

Tips for getting more fibre into my diet while I’m still in the soft food stage?

Currently end of day 2 post op and I’m struggling to get even remotely decent amounts of fibre in my food, which combined with pain meds mean I’m constantly constipated as well.

I have psyllium husks but I absolutely hate the taste and you have to consume whatever you put it into immediately and quickly otherwise it becomes too gelatinous to eat.

Here I’ve been complaining about driving standards yet recently I have inexplicably been extremely unsavoury myself, and I’m sorry to anyone who’s races I’ve ruined.

Why am I like this? Just a few months ago I was racing as cleanly and respectfully as I could with a consistent SR-S, got myself out of a long DR D rut into DR-C soon after B.

Yet now my old anger issues are coming back, I’m losing my cool constantly and playing like it’s wreckfest, and have gone from SR-S to C in 3 or 4 races! I’m such a shitty fucking person I should uninstall this game and throw my entire gaming collection in the trash and I wouldn’t be surprised if I get permabanned and lose my entire PS account soon anyway, thanks for all the good races but I should just disappear, bye.

▲ 2 r/sleep

Getting horribly inconsistent sleep recently because my overactive/thinking brain always brings me into a state of existential crisis/panic and then I can’t sleep for another couple of hours.

*edit: crisis/panic over the inevitability of death and what comes after.

Just needed to post something, I know everyone experiences it sometimes, this shit sucks. It’s not fair man.

What’s up with safety rating increases and decreases and how it’s calculated?

Still don’t understand it sometimes.

E.g I just finished a daily race b in 2nd, and somehow went from full Safety Rating S to nearly going down to A, despite getting a crb and hitting nobody or getting any penalties.

Meanwhile on an early race at the same track it was practically wreckfest with everyone getting damaged and penalties and I got an SR boost…? Does PD even know how it works?

Trying to find decent wide shoes in Australia is really, really goddamn annoying.

Oh you’ve found a couple of shoes that you want to try out before buying? Too bad! Get screwed, they’re all out of stock in your size or are in some store 400km away because your Town has very limited options.

Or a shoe has ticked all the boxes for what your looking for but it’s not offered in wide, or it is but only if you order from a completely different country.

Or your area doesn’t have wide shoes being sold anywhere at all!

What kind of corner is your kryptonite in GT7?

I’ve always loved tracks that have fast flowing sections, especially if it’s a high speed chicane (e.g deep forest and dragon tail seaside) so mine would probably be a tie between any slow or decreasing/increasing radius corners, so tracks like Fuji and Interlagos I am NOT good at.

Always struggle to find the best braking point and driving line especially in faster cars, that plus inconsistent trail braking leading to losing a-lot of momentum/speed + I unintentionally hold people up in daily races.

Why do so many people seemingly get so buthurt at being overtaken or someone trying to?

So I’ve been doing alot of this week’s daily race a, with the toyota 800 at broad bean and it’s honestly the only race this week I’ve enjoyed (the others, frankly have been terrible for me)…. but the amount of people slamming you into a wall or aggressively blocking because you dared to overtake is just ridiculous (DR-C).

I’ve had a few 1st place wins within grasp taken from me because the guy infront was swerving more than a drunk driver to stop my overtakes on the last lap lmao.

I LOVE BEING RAMMED INTO LAST PLACE IN EVERY DAILY RACE, ITS SO MUCH FUN

Or people messing up a corner, making contact and YOU get penalised or lose time and positions, and they don’t even give the position back.

Or getting cornerbombed on the hairpin at Deep Forest, going from 5th to 15th and the corner bomber doesn’t get penalised somehow and even gets a DR boost while you get deranked!

I know people make mistakes but jesus christ it’s not hard to race respectfully and admit said mistakes when you inevitably make them but cmon, this isn’t fucking Wreckfest or Forza Horizon!

Tldr: been stuck in a rather depressing rut/negative feedback loop and seemed hellbound to stay in DR-D (but consistent SR-S) for well over a year (started at high DR-A in 2023) with not a single win and I was at my wits end, about to permanently quit sports mode and I was convinced I couldn’t improve….

Had to deal with lots of ramming and cornerbombing but managed to overtake no2 on the last lap and somehow didn’t crash from my hands shaking so much due to adrenaline/pressure haha.
