Very interesting video on American education.

Very interesting video on American education.

She talks about how American education have been planned around anti-intellectualism from the very start. She has some very good/interesting points about why Americans favour the self made man. Go and give it a watch

These disk drives usually had about 300 megs of space each and one could connect and use them on any personal computer that has a SCSI adapter installed. The only real downside was they ran at stupidly high temperatures. Really high temps, 80-100+ degrees C. And the price for them from IBM was triple what you could get from a normal hobby computer shop. This one of the reasons why IBM failed in the PC market. That and their silly propitiatory infrastructure. It's a hold over from Watson's claim of the world only needing a max of five computers worldwide.
