Back in May I was working for an overnight rave and when it was over I carpooled back to my friends house where my car was parked. I was driving home around 8 in the morning just trying to get home and go to sleep when this kid in a Camaro started merging into me without checking his blind spot. I started braking, lay on my horn, checked my mirrors, hit my brakes harder, and evantually had to swerve for him not to hit me. I wasnt going to let him hit the side of my small car where my girlfriend was sitting on the paggenger side potentially putting her health and safety at risk. I hit the center divider and the car jumped up a foot in the air. Still slamming on my horn, I followed camaro to a nearby parking lot where my car sputtered and died. He gets out and goes "Duuuuuuude I'm so sorry, thats my bad, I'll make sure insurance pays for all of it." So we call both of our insurance companies and on a recorded call he admits fault. He gives me his number and heads out.

This is where it gets super annoying (understatement). My insurance agent reaches out and says he'll get back to me once they have other drivers statement. He basically says that "You cant avoid and accident by causing another." and says I'm at fault until we get comfornation from the other driver. Other insurance reaches out and says same thing. I don't hear anything for days, call my insurance agent and hes got a recorded message saying "I'll be on vacation for 3 weeks also I'm not taking messages, call me back then, bye" I call other insurance over the span of 2 weeks, and continue getting "Leave me a message and I'll call you back soon." To no avail.

At this point I need my car for work so I take it to get fixed and it needs new battery, new control arm, my shock is bent and needs adjustment, bumper is split, I pay for all of it out of pocket keeping recipts for insurance. Reach out to guy who hit me and his numbers disconnected. Try to find him online, can only find his high school sports page which he graduated from over a year ago, and his linledon which says he quit his job (or got fired) 2 days after the car crash.

Reach out to his insurance company at their corporate office and one of their higher ups tells me its unacceptable for them to ghost me like this, 10 minutes later finally get called back and his agent is like "I havent been getting any of your messages or anything." I tell her they need to figure this out so I can get reimbursed for my repairs and she says they can't accept fault because the cars never touched. I remind her that he's been recorded saying that hes at fault. She plays dumb and says she'll look into it.

Hear back a few days later, she says her and a manager reviewed it and they can take 50% fault. I tell her thats BS and what would she have done if it were someone she loves in her passenger seat. She tells me "I would have done the same thing" and "I'm sure this would probably go better in your favor if your insurance company were helping you fight this." Fucking wild thing to say.

A few days later my insurance adjuster finally gets off vacation and I reach out to him explaining everything. He tells me "Well we can't reimburse you for repairs we need a quote from a shop then we can pay it directly to them after you've paid your deductible." They didn't tow my car. They didnt get me a rental. WTF was I supposed to do??? Then he keeps reaching out to them on mondays and saying if he doesnt hear anything he'll reach out on friday and if he doesnt hear anything by monday the loop starts again, NEVER CALLING ME I HAVE TO CALL HIM EVERY TIME.

At this point its been well over a month and a half so I just tell him that I'd like to drop the claim, if they arent paying for my car repairs then I at least want to remain clear of fault as to not affect my already stupidly high insurance rates (no accidents or tickets just a young male with a sports car paying 500 a month for fucking liability). He says that without comformation from the other company he has to put me down as at fault. I tell him to take it up with other insurance company to find that recorded call and clear my name. I got a call today saying he hasnt been able to contact the other company and have determined I am at fault.

Things I already know: I should have had a dash cam

I should have recorded my conversation with the other driver

I should have called the police when it happened

(I guess) I should have waited to get repairs done till insurance would pay forn it.

(I guess) I should have just let him ram into my girlfriend at 40 miles an hour(?!?)

TLDR: Got in an accident where the other driver was at fault, admitted it on a recorded line. Both insurance companies have refused to pay for my repairs, refused to communicate, and the other driver cannot be reached.

I have a laptop with 1 thunderbolt 4 port that I want to make into a portable Resolume/Vmix machine. I'm attempting to build an eGPU dock with both a GPU and a capture card like a Blackmagic Decklink or Elgato Cam Link Pro. I found that the Sonnet Echo 3 would be perfect for me if it actually supported GPU's as well as other PCIE cards. I could even put an SSD expansion for content or records in the third slot.

Is there anything out there that can support both (or all 3) of these cards at once? Can I even send multiple 4k60 signals through thunderbolt 4 at once? The only reason I want to do it this way is portability and cost because I have already aquired the powerful laptop with less than powerful graphics...
