I literally never want to hear…

That the Valkyrie are unimportant side characters only there for Nesta’s story ever again. Y’all have been spewing that nonsense for years now downplaying their importance. SJM basically said hold my beer then wrote those titles.

That’s all.

Future gizzhead onboarding

To the artist I saw on here selling the king gizz inspired children’s book my little dude loves it already.

Did anyone else’s fav character change overtime?

For context I’m 36 years old. I first watched SATC after it was complete when I was in my early 20s. Back then I related to Carrie and Miranda the most.

Fast forward to watching the show in my 30s and now to me Charlotte and Samantha are by far the realest best characters in my opinion. After a decade I view the show so differently now. I feel like charlotte and Samantha are unapologetically who they are and own it. As a woman in my 30s the show just hits differently now. So many red flags especially with Carrie that I never even noticed as a young women.

All in all I still love them all for their own reasons, but it’s crazy how my tastes have changed so much. If you told 21 year old me that Charlotte would become one of my favorite SATC characters I wouldn’t have believed you 😅

Want to escape Texas, where should we move?

My husband and I have lived in Austin TX almost our whole lives, and most of the ten years we’ve been together.

We used to feel like Austin was a haven from the politics that run this state, but over the last few years that is no longer how it feels. We recently welcomed our first child, and we don’t want to raise him to go to school in the Texas public education system.

We’ve only visited but feel Portland would be a nice transition for us. I know the weather will be different, but we’re personally over the constant heat anyway.

We’re planning another trip before we’d make the move within the next year or two we’re thinking. What should we do or check out to give us a feel of the city as a family?

Also if we made this move where in Portland should we live? I work in pediatrics so I’d most likely get a job around doernbechers children’s hospital. My husband is remote for work. My husband is a musician and we’re both active in the scene around Austin which is one of the major reasons we thought Portland would be a good fit. We do have a child now though so I’d rather not be too far away from work, and in a good district for schools. We’re in our 30s and enjoy the occasional show and night out, but don’t need to be where all the action is necessarily. Thanks for any tips!

Valkyrie ring

Thought I’d share I thought this ring was so cute!

The first round sold out and they’re doing another round of pre sales. It’s a ribbon ring with the quote “I’m the rock against which the surf crashes” engraved inside.

At our wits end SOS

My son was historically a good sleeper from about 4-6 months. Always required help getting down since he’s a fomo baby, but stayed down almost every night for 10-11 hours. So I never minded helping him to sleep and didn’t formally sleep train. I thought we had a unicorn baby. Just followed wake windows and things were great. He’s 8.5 months now and things have been falling a part. He’s having split nights no matter how I tweak his schedule. Sometimes he’s happy for hours just awake at night others he’s upset crying the whole time even if we’re holding him. Yesterday he was up for two and a half hours the other night it was almost four when he finally conked out😵‍💫He’s stubborn and fights us so hard to the point he’s overtired a lot of times.

I’ll be honest we still pretty much go my WW and follow the huckleberry app. It was a dream at first but now it seems like it’s lost its magic. He averages 2.5/3/3.75 since we transitioned to a two nap schedule. Night average is 10-11 hours(when his nights go well more like 8-9 these split nights) and daytime sleep is 2-3 hours. So by all means these numbers look ok but he still is just up for hours every night.

I have been lurking and seeing I should stick to a schedule, but how do I choose one? His naps and sleep is so scattered. Some days he wakes up at 6am others like this morning I had to cap his morning to 8am. Some naps he goes 1.5 hours while his second is usually 30-45 min. I would love for him to have a later bedtime but he seems to do worse at night and get overtired if I keep him up too long. Does he still need a third nap? He did do better then, but it started getting so hard to cram in that third nap.

Anyways any suggestions are welcomed we’re struggling over here.

Gwynriel feels 💖🎶💖

I know the fandoms been feeling like a pressure cooker, but sometimes I think it’s important to take a step back and realize why we love our ship so much. I’ll never forget how I felt reading that bonus chapter years ago for the first time then going back then going back and digesting every little Gwynriel encounter in acosf. I remember feeling like everything finally started clicking into place about where things were meant to go from there.

Gwynriel just feels like one of those couples that could be one of the greats in romantasy. Both Gwyn and Azriel deserve the world and I can’t wait for them to get their happy endings after everything they’ve endured 💖💖

Anyways here’s a cute TT edit fluff that had me in my thoughts
