How's the city like, I want to go to a big city or at least somewhere with many things to do, I also have the choice to go to notts? Would you recommend brum?

(Pharmacology)

What are the highest paying majors?

Hi everyone! I'm a 17-year-old from Kuwait trying to decide on a major before scholarship applications close. My priorities are salary, career growth, reputation, and opportunities both in Kuwait and internationally. I enjoy reading, writing, analyzing, debating, and I have strong critical thinking skills. I'm also very good at science, especially biology and chemistry.

I originally planned on studying medicine, but I got a 94%, and medicine scholarships require 95%, so I'm exploring other options. I also plan on studying abroad, so recommendations on countries or universities would be appreciated! (I'm thinking either regular or merit scholarship)

Healthcare: Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Medical Laboratory Science, Radiography, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Food Science, Nursing.

Engineering: Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture.

Computing/Math: Computer Science, AI, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science.

Other: Supply Chain Management, Entrepreneurship, English Literature, Law.

Which of these have the highest earning potential and best long-term prospects? Which are most respected and in demand? If you were 17 and had these options fully funded, what would you choose and why?

just lost my chance to study med in the UK.

For context: I'm an int. student that got a scholarship from my home country, the rules were simple, get a 95% and an acceptance from a merit uni, I got accepted into king's foundation and was hoping to progress to med, a week ago I was told by my school that my final result would be printed and ready for me to take in a week and that my grade was a 95.2, they showed me the papers and everything and I signed off on it. I go in today to collect my grades and suddenly they hand me over my transcript and say I scored a 3.7 / 94%, and I needed a 3.76 / 95.2% for the scholarship, they didn't even tell me, they just told me it was a miscalculation on their part as I took extra credits they told me were "missing" but turns out they weren't necessary.

Worst part is I still meet the king's foundation progression requirements but i dont meet the scholarship requirements. Now I can just put something like radiography, pharmacology or physiotherapy as my progression option because the scholarship accepts those w 90% for those options and just apply to med direct entry this sept in mediocre schools (a doctor is still a doctor at the end of the day) and in the case I get accepted I can switch to med and still have my scholarship.

but ik this is v risky and theres a high chance I wont be able to progress to med. Or I can just entirely scratch that and do something else which is what im thinking abt rn. Any thoughts? should i attempt to go for med? or just give up and try and get a foundation in law or eng.

Okay so basically i graduate in around 3 weeks-ish and plan on taking the UCAT this summer. Hopefully, im gonna start my foundation yr at kings this sep. Ik I shouldn't really depend on getting a med offer from kings as what ive heard is that its VERY unlikely im able to progress to med at kings.

i'll start applying to med this sep, now i live in the gcc and due to scholarship plans i can only apply to these following schools: oxbridge, imperial, UCL, KCL, Edinburgh, manchester, glasgow, bristol, QMUL, birmingham, nottingham and newcastle. My stats r okay I guess, Im in an american school so i have a 3.7ish gpa, I scored a band 8 on ielts, and im taking advanced chem and bio in my senior yr. Im also planning on doing an one month work experience/internship at one of the biggest hospitals in my country.

Realistically, when should I take the UCAT, and how long should i prepare for it, and what score should i aim for? What other things should I keep in mind? is there anything else I need to do? and what schools should i apply for if I want to raise my chances of getting an offer
