1000+ steps, Bacchus Marsh, Victoria Australia

They call this place 1000+ steps but there are actually 1150 stairs from the bottom of the hill to the top .

I did the entire short walk 3 times and did another 650 of the stairs to make sure I completed 4000.

The stairs are fairly big at the bottom but they get progressively steeper as you get closer to the top.

It's a great workout just north of Melbourne especially if you climb to the top a few times.

There's also a loop that goes around the top of hill but I didn't worry about doing the loop today. I wanted to get some elevation in over a short distance.

Normally this is a great place to see kangaroo's as well but I didn't see any today but have seen them every other time I've been here. I probably would have seen them if I bothered with the loop.

Beeripmo Trail, VIC

First time doing the beeripmo track and I managed to do it in one day with a reasonable moving time.

Unfortunately the section of track to Mt Buangor and the lookout was closed due to bushfire revegetation so i was roughly 4km short and 150 elevation gain from doing the whole thing.

Direction of travel was clockwise.

Most of the bush up here is still regrowing from bushfires and it was interesting to see how the forest was regrowing, but personally I think I would have enjoyed it more if the forest had regrown a little more.

I was a little bit nervous about hitting it one day because it's officially a 2 day track but if you're reasonably fit and experienced it's easily do-able as a day track. Its significantly easier than the Lerdederg rim

Just a short hike this week .Lerdederg Gorge, Vic, Australia

I was carrying a 10 kg pack this week for a bit of extra fun.

Managed to climb up the 35% scree wall of link track one without stopping once but it was slow.

Brief walk along the fire road before descending on link track 2. I was slower than my mate because I'm old and a few kgs overweight.

But once we got back to the flatter ground we bustled and got the entire circuit done with a moving time of 2 hours flat which is pretty good for lerdederg.

Planning on hitting the Cathedral ranges and Dandenong 5 climbs in upcoming weeks.

Lerdederg Gorge , Victoria, Australia. 2nd hike for the week

Strava didn't sync from my watch so I'm posting the all trails distance from my phone.

This one is an extremely hard walk. I was out there for 7 hours total and 6 hours moving time and only covered 18km. It should have been 16.5km but I did a little bit extra.

The track actually goes through all of those rocky sections in my photos and there are a few spots you need to use your hands to climb up.

First hike for the week. Werribee Gorge, Victoria Australia

Little bit shorter than my usual posts but I'm planning on hitting the Lerdederg rim trail on Thursday so I didn't want to push myself hard today.

Carried a 10kg backpack just to make it interesting while keeping it short

This week's hike : Brisbane Ranges, Victoria, Australia

That's 11.84 miles : 2145 feet elevation gain for Americans amongst us

Another fairly easy hike this week but I really enjoyed this one.

Lerdederg Gorge, Vic, Australia. 19.28 km/ 12miles. : 943 metres/ 3100 feet elevation gain

This one was tough with some brutal rocky ascents and 5 river crossings.

I hadn't been here before and thought I would get it done quicker based on the distance and elevation but I almost bit off more than I could chew and had to stop multiple times on the final climb

Still I got there in the end.

Foggy hike at Mt Macedon, Vic, Australia this morning

Unfortunately my watch went flat so I don't have the strava data to include but I still had the Wikiloc data from my phone so I added a screenshot from that

Walks/ hikes only syncing partial distance to strava

Went on a 14.7 km walk today but only 6.3 km of the walk was imported to Strava.

I have attached screenshots from Strava and the Google health app showing the discrepancy.

This happened earlier in the week as well when an 11.5 km hike was reduced to 7km.

These are the only 2 activities I've logged this week but it's happened to both.

Hoping this gets fixed soon.

Where are you guys getting syringes for the golden dose. I've tried 4 chemists so far and no luck. Western suburbs Melbourne

Hi I've already been to 2 chemist warehouses and 2 other local chemists and I'm getting sick of going into chemists and asking for syringes only to be told they don't sell them.

If anybody knows a chemist around Werribee or Hoppers crossing or can recommend another source it would be appreciated
