I know this isn’t a Black Legion model, but I need some advice from the experts!

I’m trying to recreate a Black Legion-inspired colour scheme on this Kharadron Overlords model. So far I’m using black, red and gold, with some brass added as my own touch.

It’s still very much a work in progress, so I’d love to hear your thoughts. Would you add or remove anything from the colour palette?

I’ll work on the shading and edge highlights once I’ve settled on the main colours, so any advice before I go further would be greatly appreciated!

As the title says, I’m a newbie to painting and I’m trying to figure out how to achieve this level of smoothness and clean-looking colors.

I have so much fun with this scheme.

This should honestly be the default arm for attaching Kharadron models to their bases. XD It's much sturdier, looks cleaner, and makes the model feel more secure compared to the standard flight stand.

I found this image for my Tangrim Fyreslayers and I'm trying to figure out the color scheme. The gold and red are obvious, of course. I think the weapon is painted black, then heavily drybrushed with blue and lightly drybrushed with white, but I'm not sure.

What I really can't figure out is how to achieve that skin tone. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on which paints and techniques could be used?

I'd be very grateful for any help.

It’s an old post, so I don’t think anyone will reply there anymore. I’d really like to paint my Magmaroth like this this D&D aesthetic just resonates with me.

Does anyone know how this effect was achieved? Was it done with drybrushing, maybe airbrushing, or something else? I feel like using the right technique is the key here.

Hey, quick question, does anyone know what gold color was used on this model? When I try, it always ends up either too bright gold or too copper.

Any tips or paint names would help a lot!
