Anything I can do to boost future applications?

So I've recently gone through with starting an initial assessment, unfortunately I failed it, (don't know if it's cause I didn't have my maths grade back and driving licence at the time of completion but I now do)

I'm going to look for a random job to do while waiting for next June to apply again.

Anything I can do in the meantime to increase my chances?

Any advice with bonding ?

I've had my crestie for about 2-3months as of now, I've seen alot of people say you need frequent handling sessions but to give them a way out

How do I do this if second I put my hand in the cage he runs into hiding?

I've fed him a bunch of insects with tounges and he still seems to be terrified of my hand.

I've never grabbed him or anything it's been like this since I got him

Apprenticeship or Straight to work?

Hey, I'm a 19yr old male, I feel like I've not done too much or been passionate at all, you see when I was 17 I got my first job as a personal trainer in a big gym but struggled to advertise myself due to lack of social confidence so ended up quitting just after turning 19.

I've not been passionate for anything since then but been working with my dad (job which can't be used for anything but short term), and struggled to find what I'm passionate about for my career.

I'm wondering if I should pursue a apprenticeship (not sure what in but anything is probably better than no career), or just working whatever job I can find?

Any help is appreciated, I feel really lost but I really want to be doing something, I guess I could also consider college if I found something but I would need some what of a income as I have responsibilities.

Why is he only eating insects?

The breeder said "he never eats insects but you can try" but since I've gotten him he's ignored all powdered food despite having 2 bowls in the enclosure at different sides and has only ate insects

Seems I have the opposite problem everyone else seems to have

New time gecko owner advice

Hey I've gotten a 8 month old crested gecko lately and just wondering a few things so I'll keep it simple:

- Ive heard you should keep food out 24/7 even if they don't eat, do I need to change this every 24hrs or 48hrs?

-Should I have a variety in flavours and rotate them? (Currently I have pineapple and some insect flavour

-He ate a mealworm but not yet showed signs of eating his powdered food (had him about a week now), should I not put powdered food in if he's already ate a insect?

I very much appreciate any replys after simply googling my pet requirements in past didn't help much :)

Sorry if it comes off a stupid questioning I'm a bit overthinky when it comes to my pets lol

Would I run into any issues with this approach? (Read below)

So my acrylic lid on this enclosure was bouncing the heat off or something as it wasn't holding any heat , so I've decided to switch the lid with permanent (fabric) mesh , the heat seems to be getting through now, any issues with this?

Every time I put heating lamp on it, it doesn't heat the enclosure up much same with the heat mats

Should I try and take the lid off and just glue mesh over the top of the hole?

Hey I'm 19 yr old male and like forever wanted black hair, recently I've gotten a modern mullet with a fade on side and can't itch the feeling it would look better black

Do you think there will be any complications dying shorter hair? And should I do it before or after a hair cut
