1896 Queen Victoria Half Crown

Struck at the Tower Hill Mint in Old London Town. Valued at two shillings and sixpence (written as 2/6), this coin represented one-eighth of a pound sterling during the late Victorian era.

Now there's something you don't see every day...

Anyone tempted?

Do PayPal convert your currency as soon as they get it? The reason I ask is that Paypal always reports less than I sent from Prolific. They do a currency conversion when I transfer to a bank account. Are they charging me a conversion rate twice? Gemini says yes!! I'm not so sure.

I do have separate wallets for USD and GBP

Do minor edge knocks put you off buying a coin?

I'm collecting half crowns and I want them to have as much original lustre as possible. I know this will be unrealistic with some key dates.

If you found a coin that had lots of eye appeal and original lustre, but 1 or 2 minor edge dings, would you buy it, or continue the hunt for a perfect one?
