Omega Seamaster GMT 50th Anniversary [ref. 2234.50]

I have to say, I’m very pleased. The pictures don’t do this watch justice at all. I don’t understand why people would buy a Rolex GMT for 10x the price when these beauties exist. This is everything I ever wanted — a worthwhile automatic GMT that’s not too flashy. Incredible for what it is. This is a 20+ year old watch!

[My first big boy purchase] Omega Seamaster GMT 50th Anniversary (2234.50)

Made one of my first big boy purchases last night — got this Omega Seamaster GMT 50th anniversary for what I believe to be a total steal! With taxes and import fees in total I paid ~$2600 for this bad boy! I’d been thinking about buying a nice watch for a while and was looking for a travel GMT specifically as I track multiple timezones for my profession and plan to do some traveling for leisure soon. After some digging, I discovered that there’s not many worthwhile automatic dual-time or GMT watches for cheap and figured I’d just spend the money and get a nice one that will last a lifetime. Can’t believe these old omega GMTs are so cheap in comparison to some other models and it’s like 1/10th the cost of a Rolex Bruce Wayne GMT. I think the market must be totally overlooking the value in these! All things considered, I think I made out alright comparing the condition and price I payed for this piece to other comparable listings on the market. It looks to be in exceptional condition for its age and what I bargained for it. I’m thinking I’m gonna order an elastomer strap and a NATO 007 strap for this to change things up and bring some life to it. Would love to know everyone’s thoughts on this and if you think I did alright. Cheers!

How likely am I to be moved live after first payout on 5 accounts?

I’m just looking for some anecdotal reports on this because this will be my first time receiving payouts from tradeify. I’ve got my balance in this set of 5 accounts to over $15k. Will they let me get through at least 2 payout cycles before the move to live? Or have they started moving traders to live very early like some other firms? I’d love to be able to take more than 1 payout on these accounts before the move to live and just curious what the experiences of others has been here. Thanks in advance for sharing your experience with this.

What’s it like returning to sim after blowing a live account?

A couple months ago, I blew a live account with Topstep and have since stepped away from Topstep. I’m now returning to trading with Topstep and wondering what to expect. Will they be eager to push me straight back to a live account? If I have a full stack of $50k accounts would it be reasonable to assume they may try moving me back to live after the first payouts on the accounts? I’m just curious about others’ experiences and what I might want to expect. Either way, excited to be back although not thrilled with their lower payout caps now.
