Camponotus nicobarensis queen outside nest and brood moved. Is this normal?
Hello, why is my Camponotus nicobarensis queen outside the nest, and why have the workers moved the brood? Please see the attached picture.
I’m not using a heating cable because it’s summer here. Is this normal behavior?
This is a small colony of 5 workers and 2 queens.
One of you posted the 3D printable file for this test tube setup, and I just wanted to say thank you! It’s actually super useful. Unfortunately, I saved the link but lost the original post, so I can’t tag you.
If you see this, thank you again!
My Carebara diversa won't explore the outworld. I cut up a cricket and left it out there, but they won't leave the test tube. Any ideas?
There are 100+ ants.
Should I connect outherworld or better let them stay in only test tube? Camponutus nicobarensis.
There are 2 queens, 4 nantics and only 2 lavrae.

Do you think they have access to the water? And the mold is ok?
Could you ID her? I found her in Tuscany, Italy.
The test tube is full, but I felt like my Messor barbarus ants seemed a bit thirsty, so just in case, I gave them an extra source of water. As you can see, they reacted to it immediately. Does this mean something is wrong with the setup?
Do you think these holes are enough for them to have enough air?
They are good for ants.
What do you think about the mold situation here?
It’s a simple Lasius queen, but she’s very special to me. I found her in Italy and drove 1 500 km to bring her home.
Hello! I checked on my Camponotus queen after 3 weeks, and this is what she did with the nest. Do you think she still has access to the water reservoir, or has she blocked it off? Unfortunately, there's still no brood. (The first photo is from 3 weeks ago, and the second is how it looks now.)
I caught a lot this evening. It was my most successful hunting session yet.
I think they are Lasius Nigers. There were a lot more.
Big queen found in a hotel room in South Tyrol, Italy. Is this Camponotus?
Found this huge queen walking around alone in my hotel room while it was raining outside, in South Tyrol (northern Italy). She's the biggest ant I've ever seen, around 2 cm.

I think she's a Camponotus, I'm currently traveling, driving through Italy, so for now she's in a plastic bottle with damp cotton. I'll be able to move her into a proper test tube tomorrow. Pretty sure she's a queen. Any tips on keeping her and getting the colony started would be great. Thanks!

P.S. Second queen I've found on this trip, having a great run.
Chain drop after 300 km on my Grail CF 7, now deep scratches – would you contact Canyon?
I’m looking for some advice from other Canyon owners.
I have a Grail CF 7 that’s less than 2 months old and has only around 300 km on it. During a ride, the chain fell off. I’m not very handy with bike repairs, and for some reason I couldn’t get it back on myself.
While trying to figure out what had happened, I noticed some surprisingly deep scratches around the drivetrain area (see attached photos). Since I couldn’t get the chain back on, I took the bike to a mechanic. He fixed the issue and also replaced the chain, which surprised me considering the bike had only done 300 km.
What confuses me is that I previously owned a Triban RC520 and rode nearly 1,500 km without replacing the chain once(Microshift). The chain came off a few times on that bike too, but I could always put it back on myself, and any marks were barely visible.
Do these scratches look normal from a single chain drop on a carbon Grail(They are deep), or is this excessive? And does it make sense to contact Canyon about it, considering the bike is almost new?
I’d appreciate any opinions or similar experiences.
Do I need to cut a cricket with even smaller peaces or these are fine?
