This is all the same OC, ofc
/uj not a jerk on anything in particular, I just wanted to create ts
I was trying to play around with lighting and colors using an Asaro head reference. I am aware the glasses do not appear transparent; that is a stylistic choice.
Also, background IS due for change.
I have no experience drawing in this angle for full pieces, so I'm not exactly confident. I wanted to know if the proportions or perspective looked off before I moved on to the rendering! For my reference, I used a basic asaro head in the same angle to get a good reference on this angle.
I was really proud of it, but nobody else really seems to like it. Like, people really have an aversion to it. It's not getting any likes anywhere, and it's completely unnoticed. Why? Why is it so bad? can someone please tell me why?
I've been told I'm a beginner many times, and I don't know why. Most art in here is new, but some of it was created earlier this year.
Someone on artfight called him cute but I feel like they're lowkey bullying my man behind his back. Please tell me what I should do about him. He's not supposed to be some manhwa protag, but he's not supposed to be too unappealing or uncanny looking
Btw I don't really think he's ugly, personally, I'm just worried people find him uncanny.
I'm genuinely so lost. No matter how hard I work or what quality of art I pump out, nobody seems to like it. It's like I have to work twice as hard to get half of the appreciation or reward as literally anyone else.
And, I mean literally anyone else. Someone could post a 10 minute sketch with no composition, black and white with scratchy lines, and get the same amount of likes or even more as my fully rendered pieces. I thought maybe it was because people didn't recognize me, so I just started working myself to post more fully rendered pieces. I spend almost all the time now just working on art, only to see it get absolutely no attention or love in my fandom space every time I post. How the fuck are yall doing this shit? I feel like if I post something even below my current quality, I'll lose what little standing i had.
I'm genuinely going insane
Just some low-poly bullshit with fur 💕
/uj all OCs "displayed" (not really but you get my point) are mine, dw
Working on a portrait comm of a character from an existing property for a friend of mine. He says it looks like the character, but I'm unsure.
It's perfect. I removed all the icky parts like the nose, the brow and the shadows.
Uploaded some recent pieces for reference. Whenever I post, I always do significantly worse than other people in the same spaces. I thought maybe it was because I post OC art, but even people also posting oc art get way more traction than me. I've tried improving my technical skill, uploading more, and improving my composition, but I always get around the same amount of attention as sketches or unfinished work no matter where I post. Is my art the issue here? If so, how do I improve?
I like it, but something's wrong. maybe with the colors?
Whenever I post my art, it ALWAYS performs very poorly. Even if others see it and I KNOW THEY SEE IT. I just don't post my art anymore on reddit because it always gets like, 20 upvotes with 1k views or so. WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING WRONG? Why is my art so aggressively mediocre that people just overlook it ALL THE DAMN TIME. I try to post my art to help subreddits and I GET NO FEEDBACK. I DON'T GET WHAT I'M DOING WRONG. I'VE SKIPPED MEALS AND HOURS OF SLEEP JUST TRYING TO DRAW SOME AWFUL ART FOR MFIN ARTFIGHT. Honestly, I just don't even wanna do artfight at this point because it's just drawing more pointless art for people that don't give a shit and will probably forget about my existence and my art 2 seconds after clicking off the defense page. WHY am I so invisible no matter what I do to improve my art????????
