Can we get these aligned?

Maybe it’s just my OCD but I’d love a toggle to center the top element with the Dynamic Island.

Just completed my interview. App still says “attend interview”

Out of curiosity, is it normal for my application to still say “conditionally approved” and “next step: attend interview” after my interview was just completed? I was conditionally approved in a day and just had my interview. The officer took my picture and my finger prints but I was left confused about next steps.

I’m assuming I’m waiting for the email to let me know I’m approved but the app still tells me that my next step is to attend the interview. Is that normal?

2026 Quicksilver MYP pickup experience

Picked up 2026 Tesla model Y performance on Tuesday, June 23rd. It definitely feels like a quarter-end car with several panel alignment issues but none too big for Tesla to fix and honestly seems like the right call anyway since they’ll probably make something else worse in the process. Luckily the paint is perfect. I really wanted to like the frost blue but I find the X and Y to have just too much body for the softer blue. I think it looks amazing on the S and 3 though. I think Tesla’s best color is the Ultra Red but I have a 2025 Model 3 in that color so went with Quicksilver instead and I love the it.

The car was also not as clean as I’d like. Tesla has opened up a huge service and delivery center in Centennial, CO but there is a lot of construction work going on nearby and the car was dustier than I would have liked. I left a lower rating in the delivery survey and got a direct email from the Tesla manager at Centennial that apologized and is offering me 3 months of additional FSD on top of the free month which I do appreciate.

It’s currently sitting at the detailing shop for PPF, ceramic coating and tint.

I can’t remember if I saw it but does the V2L adapter come as a separate object in the sub-trunk or is it in the mobile charger box? Unsure if it’s supposed to come with the car.

Thoughts after Denver test drive

Things I loved:

  • The cabin was super spacious and so much better optimized for space over a Model Y despite having similar outer dimensions
  • The seats were extremely comfortable. Enough support through turns.
  • Overall the steering wheel is excellent but I have thoughts on the haptic scroll wheels(more on that below)
  • Cabin noise on city streets was excellent and I didn’t feel the road as much as I expected
  • It’s just a gorgeous looking car

Things I didn’t like:

  • On to the scroll wheels - I might get crucified for this but I thought they were… okay? They work well while scrolling but pressing the button in and out wasn’t the best experience for me personally. Maybe something to get used to.
  • There is no way around this but the speakers in this car are downright insulting at this price point imo. It sounded muddy no matter what I threw at it. Really bad.
  • Despite the car looking well built, there was quite a bit of give when shutting the driver door that has me worried about the overall build quality

This car is going to sell incredibly well no matter what I think and I do think overall it’s a great car and worth the price considering everything you get.

Despite hoping for improvements, my Matic has become worse with time

As the title suggests, I’m feeling quite jaded about the future of my Matic. It has improved in some areas namely coverage and speed(this one seems to fluctuate a lot though), it has regressed in several areas.

  1. The object detection is quite terrible now. This might be tied to how close it gets to objects to clean but I absolutely hate how it hits most objects in its way(I deep clean the robot weekly) . I routinely find my dining or bar chairs moved and out of position by several feet after cleaning. It will run into things and continue to drive forward before giving up and repositioning. This has meant that my Matic is completely dinged up and scratched all over which is frankly very disappointing. Maybe that’s why we get the stickers? It has also always failed to detect my oven drawer handle.
  2. I am seeing way more errors/reboots during cleaning. Attaching a few examples here.
  3. Ignores the boundaries of Pass-through zones. I had to mark my entire rug as a pass-through zone since Matic is unable to clean it without detecting a jam(an issue that I was told would either be fixed or improved in some way but have had no response over) but despite that, it sometimes will clean over the rug anyway and jam itself. I have to now set the boundary of the zone much further out from where the rug ends thus impacting the efficacy of its cleaning around the rug.

While I’m hopeful software will improve the functioning of the robot over time, I have been left feeling quite disappointed with some of the latest software developments. For a robot that should just work, I have to do an awful lot of babying to make sure it runs okay.

I hope these issues improve over time and I appreciate it’s a tough balance to achieve but it’s quite clear that changes to software can also make the robot worse as has been my experience.
