I’m exploring the idea of launching a white-label nutraceutical brand in India and would love to hear from people who have experience in the industry.
The basic idea is to partner with an established manufacturer and focus on branding, marketing, sales, and distribution rather than setting up my own manufacturing facility initially.

Some questions I have:

How competitive is the nutraceutical market today?

Is it still possible for a new brand to gain traction without spending huge amounts on influencer marketing?

What are realistic gross margins and net margins for a new entrant?

Which sales channels have worked best for you: Amazon, Flipkart, your own website, pharmacies, doctors, gyms, distributors, etc.?

What are the biggest mistakes first-time founders make in this space?

If you were starting from scratch today, which product category would you focus on (protein, vitamins, gummies, gut health, sports nutrition, etc.)?

How difficult is it to build trust and repeat purchases compared to other consumer brands?
