Zombiecide invader - M2 on accidental hard mode

played this mission with all the spawn cards. only to realize something was wrong by turn 2.

then read the manual again, your only supposed to use all the spawn cards if you want hard mode.

needless to say I didnt make it to the blue objective.

cole got murdered when he tried to run from 6 hunters that got an extra activation.

speculating on the next zombiecide, what do you think it will be?

I was hoping we get a cyberpunk zombiecide (zombies could be from an infection of cybernetics) or maybe a zombiecide set in jurrasic park (have the trex be an abomination and runners could be velociraptors.)

How do you feel about house rules?

do you think house rules invalidate the board game?

what are some house rules that you feel enhance the experience?

fallout the board game, instead of the competitive rush where the first player to 8 influence wins. the players share an influence pool. when the 4 players collectively achieve 32 points they all win.

marvel champions, when a hero is knocked out, instead of losing. he flips to alter ego in 1 health and places ab acceleration token on the scheme. if there are no more acceleration tokens, the players collectively lose. this keep the team dynamic working strong. (althought it makes some villains easier to deal with, like juggernaut and klaw)

zombiecide, when a character dies, the game keeps going. and the next time someone searches, they find another character that has not been on the map this game. (kinda like left4dead)

GW3 HYPE/SPECULATION thread

is it happening?

what are your hopes?

do you think its just the GW2 engine with a unreal engine overlay?

are we finally doing full open world?

are we gonna get actual dungeons with traps and puzzles?

are mercenary heros back?

lets speculate together until the reveal!

games that your friends love, but you absolutely despise

I hate the card burn mechanic from gloomhaven with a passion.

I also hate how convoluted mage knight is.

movement cost too much. combat is weird and getting goos spells is hard. (maybe I just need to get good)

Hot take - nobody likes mage knight

its just a game that people buy and put it on the shelf to signal to others in the internet that they are REAL boardgamers.

same sentiment for gloomhaven and lost ruins of arnak.

Sunday nights game

Rhino vs jubilee, magneto, bishop, wonderman and magik.

its really impressive how strong the magik and bishop decks feel compares to other hero packs.

Homebrewing pieces and house rules.

I recently got a hold of fallout the board game and got to thinking that I would probably make a custom player piece.

how do you guys feel about homebrewing and custom player assets?
