“People just need to talk to each other” THEY ARE HALLUCINATING HORRIBLE THINGS AND WOULD SOUND INSANE!
The amount of problems that would be solved by communication is a lot but the problems that would arise from that would be pretty bad.
Anyone mentioning a boy in white clothing would sound crazy or they would think it’s one of the smiling demons at night. They may even ignore what he’s trying to do or help them with.
A lot of the info that would be helpful is incredibly painful for the person who knows it. The 3 who got tortured in the cave won’t really even talk about it to the others who went through it with them. For victor the clues are remembering his mom being ripped apart.
Boyd probably wouldn’t be the sheriff and the town would fall to shit if he told people about the music box and the cave from the tree.
Despite there being demons at night that are warded off by talismans, the townspeople are relatively close minded. They still don’t believe their eyes after tears of insane shit happing to them and those around them.
The townspeople don’t trust each other that well and it’s incredibly high tension across the board. Bringing up creepy dreams or hallucinations every time would be a long list of info that isn’t helpful.
We the viewer know the full picture and we don’t even know what’s going on. If certain characters shared it would probably be helpful but a lot would cause panic, fear, or problems.
If I saw blood dripping down dismembered bodies on a tree I wouldn’t bring it up at lunch on the off chance it’s a clue. I’m keeping it to myself thinking my brain has finally broken under the stress. Even in a town full of magic curses and nightmare people it’s more likely to have a psychotic break than a divine premonition.
