External SSD boot to avoid security policies conflicts on work device?
I have a question, context I have a pretty beefy work laptop:
i9ultra, rtx5070, 64 gb ram etc.
Security policy is very strict when it comes to installation of external programs.
Can I use an external SSD to boot from it and have windows installed on it to avoid any conflict and essential use the rest of the hardware without having any conflict with the company polices.
The bootloader is unlocked so I could in theory use it as a workaround. What budget option I have in Romanian market for this kind of approach.
(I am not willing to spend a lot of money on it since I am saving up for the upcoming steam machine since I have no personal PC).
Any recommendations would be appreciated, thanks
