First week of April.

Here’s the full itinerary and cost breakdown,

Reached Bareilly by train - 02:00 (₹70 General Ticket)

Took a bus to Haldwani (the frequency at night is very less and had to wait for around 30 mins) (₹200)

Reached Haldwani - 05:00

Reached Kathgodam by Auto - 05:20 (₹30)

When I reached Kathgodam, I thought of renting a scooty but rented bikes and cabs weren’t being allowed due to heavy traffic congestion in the upper areas thus my only option was state buses. But I got lucky as I found a person going to Almora in his car, He agreed till Kainchi.

Reached Kainchi - 09:00 (₹150)

Crowd was heavy but darshan was quick. Ate at Anupam’s (₹430)

Left for Bhowali by a bus (₹80)

Reached Bhowali - 13:00

Rented a scooty till next day (13:00 to 08:00 next day) - ₹600

Started for Mukteshwar.

Reached Mukteshwar - 15:45

Petrol refilled - ₹200

Heavy congestion in enter ring Mukteshwar but it sorted out pretty quickly.

Mukteshwar Mahadev was very busy this went directly to Chauli ki Jali.

This place literally stole my heart. It wasn’t clear, I couldn’t see the Himalayas but good lord the view. That experience was incredible.

Had Chai, Maggi and Pakora while being there - ₹40+₹80+₹100 =₹220.00

Sat there till sunset, left by 17:45.

Had a quick darshan at Mukteshwar Mahadev.

Started searching for Hotels. Zostel was ~₹800 per night.

Found a really cheap room in Bhateliya Main Market - ₹700

Had dinner (fried rice) - ₹200

Next morning left early by 07:00.

Reached Ghorakhal by 09:00. Goljyu Devta Temple was mesmerising. The views of Bhimtal were insane too!

Reached Bhowali by 09:30

Boarded a bus for Kathgodam (₹80)

Reached Kathgodam by 11:00

Boarded the train back home (₹70) general ticket.

Total cost ~3000

Time 2 days, 1 Night.

Advice - Don’t go during peak season. VERY HEAVY TRAFFIC AND not so clear weather. The prices are highly inflated. I’d go again during October or November.

Any questions are welcome.

I’d do this again. 10/10

I’ve been running the SIP in this fund from Jun 2021. I’ve regularly topped up the SIP, started with 2000 now at 3300 but I am not satisfied with the returns.

Should I ditch the fund and start a sip in another fund or should I continue it?

Will I lose any compounding benefit if I ditch the fund (I’ll not withdraw the amount) and start a new SIP in a new Large Cap Fund?

Please provide your valuable views. Thanks.
