I was playing the new event and I unlocked Ye Shunguang and Sunna's tactical prism and I was really excited to get Zhao's, when I realized she doesn't have any. I suppose it's to be expected, she was a free defense agent, after all, but... how much work does it really take to add a tactical prism to the mode? It's a stat stick. Yet they didn't bother to add one for Zhao.
When they released Zhao, they made it sound in the video like she was a miracle. A labor of love from the dev team. But if she were a labor of love, surely they would continue to put in gear for her to encourage people to keep using her in these sorts of events. Sunna/Zhao/Ye Shunguang is still one of the best possible teams for Ye Shunguang. But no, Zhao is stuck using generic defense gear.
I suppose we'll see in a few months the quality of the birthday art she gets, and what her role is in the upcoming story, but I'm not convinced she'll get to do much anymore.
Sadly, Zhao did not make Agent of the Year or my Best Team. Because I didn't pull for a single agent from 2.0 to 2.4 so Corin was used for 2000 fights and Lycaon and Pulchra tagged along with her most days.
I think it'd be a fun idea to explore, if she's self conscious about it. She's used to being small but having the tall bangboo lord over her would probably mess with her sense of self-worth.
I feel like, ever since I M6W5'd Zhao, I've just been going through the motions. I pulled Ye Shunguang and Sunna to create that superteam, and pulled Promeia and Nangong, but four useful agents just brought me no extra satisfaction. I don't care about the endgame. It's like 500 polychrome every two weeks. So I think I'm done pulling until the next furry S rank agent, which will probably be in fifteen months if they keep the same pace as Zhao.
I'll probably pull for Phoenix just because that cute interknot post where she was with Zhao, but I don't think I'll pull Ramielle or Sunbringer no matter how good they are.
M6W5ing a future agent would make me happier than whatever meager progress I make in the so-called endgame. Right now, I think I have around 350 pulls. It'll take a long time to get back to a thousand. I have to go back into saving mode.
I'm sorry if this is too meta. It's a genuine question though, from the heart.
I don't know anything about AI. Proudly so. I don't want to learn how any of it works, I just want to have fun typing things in and seeing what happens. An endless sandbox. But when all of that privacy stuff happened back then, I left and went to another site and like a fool I stayed there for five years. I thought that other site was fine, but it was less of a game and over time it expected more of you. You had to tweak the settings. You had to use specific ATTG tags. You had to know the models' quirks in order to make anything competent get produced.
Yet I was still happy. I played it. Yet every time I got on their subreddit, it was full of people talking about how bad it is. And after their most recent model didn't work for me at all due to its complex requirements, I decided to come back home.
AI Dungeon has been phenomenal. I paid $50 and just picked a Deepseek 3.2 and it is firing on all cylinders without me needing to tweak any settings at all. It remembers everything I want it to. It does everything I want it to. I have had zero issues with it fighting me. It's amazing. I feel like I did back in 2020 but I am completely floored at how impressive the functionality is. And 3.2 isn't even the best model. I just read somewhere on here that it was the recommended one and I have no objections.
So... WHY IS EVERY THREAD ON HERE TALKING ABOUT HOW BAD AI DUNGEON IS?!
I really don't get it. I have been living in the trash and I come out here to eat your scraps and it's the most delicious food I have ever tasted. So why are people even here so unhappy? What do people even want? It's mind boggling.
The grass is always greener on the other side, I suppose, but I wish people would see how good this site is. I can't run local models, so sites like this are my only option, and I wish I came back sooner.
Heya. While I'm not personally into this ship, I wanted to post this here as well because I don't believe the world has ended for you. And it all boils down to something Noelle and Susie were talking about in Chapter 4, along with the broader meta narrative that both routes in chapter 5 discussed.
Fahaha, yeah, it was kind of just... You know. Forced.
* So, riding a Ferris wheel together, doesn't mean anything?
* Ummm, maybe not if it's like... Just like a forced thing?
After chapter five, I feel like these lines need to be reevaluated. It's clear that both routes tie back into the bead game at the hospital, where the beads are marching down their predesignated paths without any ability to choose for themselves. When Noelle is talking to Susie, she suggests that any relationship she had with Kris in the past didn't matter because it was forced, and yet, her relationship with Susie is what is being forced now. So, it would seem, then, that if you look through the cracks, Noelle is essentially telling us as the player that her relationship with Susie doesn't mean anything right now.
The weird route is an important key, because it shows that Noelle recognizes the paths she has been forced down and wants to break free from her assigned role. And when Berdly gets snowgraved, the blue bead gets ripped from the track, further tying into the weird route being all about breaking free from the prophecy and wresting back control.
I have to believe that if Gerson's words hold any truth and that the weird route isn't the only way to break the prophecy, perhaps Kris will still be able to break through to Susie and help her realize that the world itself is trying to force her to get with Noelle, and that her real feelings are being pushed aside as a result of that.

>!Even beyond all of the stuff about them being a princess and wanting the blue and pink drink, through the entire chapter, Ralsei accuses flowery of pretending to be something they're not. Flowery pushes back, saying Ralsei is doing the same thing. Ralsei insists they have to, because everything will fall apart if they don't. Some people might assume this is about Ralsei always being nice, or suppressing their fire magic, but I think it's more literal than that.!<
>!Ralsei feels forced to be a prince because the prophecy says they must be a prince. That if Ralsei came out and stopped pretending, bad things would happen, as weird route suggests that the prophecy doesn't take too kindly to disruptions given how much it fights you.!<
>!So much of Deltarune is about identity and I think it would be fascinating if Ralsei did become a princess of the dark, and given the player/soul has so much divided feelings on which character the player should flirt with and try to romance, 'love finding its way to the girl' could have four different meanings if Ralsei is also a girl. And I know as a cis man I have no grounds to judge these things, but I feel like Ralsei would be the best written trans character I've ever seen if they do indeed go down this path.!<
I know the game is full of red herrings and plot threads that are teased but then go nowhere, but >!regardless of where the weird route leads, the normal route has Susie want to bring Noelle into the dark world. It ends with her renovating Castle Town to give Noelle a room. Now, given that Rudy is likely dying or dead at this point and Susie doesn't know, it's possible none of this will go anywhere. But it does make me wonder if an aborted weird route will actually lead to a different ending, maybe Side A. People have theorized that an aborted weird route would be its own path, but maybe the twisted sword is a red herring. Because if Noelle ever does step back into a dark world, if we make her cast snowgrave and abandon the route, she would be forced to accept the truth.!<
>!I feel like Toby could have just had a game over if we drown in the lake in chapter 5. We "locked in" the weird route on 4, after all, and crossing the lake is the natural conclusion. But why give us the ability to drown at all unless you wanted us to go back to the main route, but at that point Noelle still has the thorn ring and still knows who we are and what we're doing. I see no possible way she could show up in chapter six and not be radically different than her normal playthrough. !<
But I have to be honest. We've been baited and strung along so much that I just don't know how excited I can be to set up even more saves. >!Aborting the weird route already should have changed tons of dialogue, yet it always goes back to normal. Maybe Noelle will just shrug everything off and act like nothing ever happened.!<
>!But hey, I did have that pacifist weird route. Maybe I'll drown in the lake, save it under slot 2, and see what happens there. Maybe Noelle will just get a lot of free EXP when she goes to castle town.!<
>!It's going to be a long wait, lads, as the weird route ends after like 10 minutes and says we have to wait for chapter seven. I'm a little disappointed not to see the payoff but I guess it is what it is. I'm going to reload and try saying no to Noelle to see if that lets me keep going in another state.!<
My main save is pacifist snowgrave where I treat everybody as nice as possible. But I chose to replay the entire game because I wanted to have the $17 in money for the festival in case you need money to buy Noelle something in chapter five. You have to steal three times which isn't very nice but it beats only having $2 and missing out on something.
Noelle will ride with me.
I loved Fuga 1. It was one of my favorite games. I was the second person in the world, to my knowledge, to get all of the gears and post them in the /v/ thread. And when Fuga 2 came out, I grinded it out non-stop and was genuinely the first person to get all of the gears. It's still up on YouTube from when I uploaded it.
I'm not saying this to flex or get accolades. I'm saying this to show I really did care about these games. But I never bought Fuga 3. The vibes just didn't feel the same and then it was full of so many downer endings and refused to wrap up these stories in a satisfying way. We don't need to drag these characters into fifteen different games. The end of a trilogy is a good point to end things, yet I don't think anyone had a satisfying ending and every single epilogue that shows them in the future has them being miserable as hell.
So what happened? Why did they commit to this? Was Yoann Gueritot leaving after Fuga 2 what set all of this in motion? Was that frenchman the franchise's guiding light? Though I would argue Fuga 2 itself had many flaws over the first game, and each game became... increasingly more anime.
In tropes, The Dragon is the right-hand of the boss. From everything we've seen in 2.8 and going forward, it seems we have a high chance of seeing Zhao because she serves as the second to the enigmatic boss of Krampus, and even when the boss finally reveals herself I imagine Zhao will be close at hand every time. Zhao has an easier time worming her way into Krampus PVs, like Promeia's, while Banyue will likely never be seen again simply because he wouldn't be attending those boardroom meetings.
I'm sure eventually Zhao will fade away like most agents after their story, but as long as Krampus remains relevant in the plot, Zhao will remain relevant in the plot. I believe wholeheartedly she will have a role to play in season three.
At the end of the 2.8 storyline, Promeia doesn't even say goodbye to the proxy. She just leaves a note, saying "don't trust TOPS, don't trust Krampus and don't trust me". Okay. Then the proxy immediately texts them like they're besties and they hang out and are talking super casually like they're old friends.
I get that when we pull for agents, it's meant to be a contract. A formal commitment on their part to work with the proxies. But is that enough for the hangouts to feel earned and the friendships to feel real? After 2.8 when Promeia is still piecing together her feelings I don't know if she'd immediately go hang out with the proxy and do a flower arrangement.
I started playing in 2.0 but this is honestly the first time the hangout ever felt weird to me. Because most characters become the proxies friend during and after the chapter and I don't feel like that happened with Promeia.
Everyone was convinced that Bunny in Wonderland was Norma's set, since they never release sets for old agents and that the discs are colored like Norma and she's rabbit themed too. Bah. Zhao deserved a set all for her and she got exactly that.
