How bad was/is your shortness of breath?? And what level is your ferritin??

Wanted to know how bad your shortness of breath is and what ferritin level you have? It’s my absolute worst symptom and to the point it’s made me totally housebound unable to even do basic tasks around the house. I took three arrows for like 9 months with no changes at all, started iron biglycinate and I am starting to breath better! I can’t even believe it. It just blows my mind how extreme the SOB has been. My ferritin has been between 5-40 for ten years. It’s 33 currently but have to check soon to see if the iron biglycinate raised

Anyone suddenly notice instant relief in SOB and panic from taking iron?!

So a little back story, I’ve had low ferritin for over ten years now and I think it finally caught up with me. It started as shortness of breath on the stairs, unable to catch my breath and completely winded. I also have other health issues so I wasn’t entirely sure what was what. I took three arrows heme for about 9 months with zero improvements so I started to think it wasn’t ferritin. I also started taking lactoferrin which raised my level to 45 if I remember and then back down to 33 after stopping it. Anyways I started taking iron biglycinate and within a week I woke up suddenly feeling like I’m getting oxygen?! And shortness of breath seems better? Also lift of panic and anxiety? For reference on how bad the shortness of breath has been for me- I’ve been housebound, short of breath talking, washing a dish, bending, eating, and so on.

Anyone not have any improvements with heme iron but seemed to do better with iron biglycinate?

Hi everyone. I’ve been dealing with severe shortness of breath and many other symptoms for the past year now. I was taking three arrows iron and didn’t notice any improvements at all and it also didn’t increase my level. I also started lactoferrin a few months ago and then 2 weeks ago I started iron biglycinate and for the first time in a year I’m not as short of breath and It feels like I’m getting oxygen. For reference the shortness of breath is so bad I can’t leave the house or do any task at all. Anyone else have similar experience?

Who has SEVERE shortness of breath?

So I’ve had pots for 9 years now at varying degrees from being bedridden for years to functional etc. anyways I NEVER had this severe of shortness of breath before. I’m bedbound/housebound with zero quality of life. I’ve been to the er and cardiologist to rule out anything serious. Does anyone else have severe shortness of breath? Like extremely short of breath with any little amount of exertion? Even bending causing me to be completely winded trying to catch my breath. I can’t exert what so ever. Even rolling in bed I’m winded. (It’s not air hunger btw, it’s complete shortness of breath)

Can you describe what your shortness of breath feels like?

Hi everyone. I’ve had Lyme and babesia for many years now. I’ve also had pots for 8 years. A couple years ago I started developing exertional shortness of breath where stairs or exertion would make me completely winded unable to catch my breath. It kept getting worse so I suspected it was babesia (even though I never had this with babesia before, I’ve had air hunger but not exertional shortness of breath) anyways I did this Lyme treatment and it completely crashed my system and made the shortness of breath 100000 times worse. I’m bedbound/ housebound for the last year now with zero improvements. I’m being tortured beyond what I can put into words. But my question is in regard to the shortness of breath- can you describe what your babesia shortness of breath feels like? I can’t find anyone that has it like I do. Most people seem to have air hunger where it feels like they can’t breathe or get air in. Mine isn’t like that. It’s extreme winded exertional SOB that feels worse than heart failure. I absolutely cannot exert AT ALL.

Suffocating from warm humid air??

Hi everyone. Does anyone else get extreme suffocating feeling from being in warm humid air? Or from going from AC for instance into warmer air? It happens within seconds for me and I feel like I’m suffocating and need to get into cold air in order to breathe. (I’ve already had anything serious ruled out ) I’ve had pots for a long time but never had this before. I’m scared because it feels like I’m literally suffocating and feels beyond air hunger. It seems a fan can help or just getting into cold air again.

Who has SEVERE shortness of breath and what’s your level at?

Hi everyone. Ive had the most severe shortness of breath for the last couple years now that has only gotten worse. I’ve been to the ER a bunch of times and cardiologist and had anything serious ruled out. I also have pots but I’ve had that for many years but NEVER had this extreme shortness of breath before. My ferritin has been low for the last ten years. I managed to increase it to 48 a few months ago but didn’t notice any changes at all and it went down to 33. My question is- who else has the most severe shortness of breath? Like to the point you can’t exert at all or even leave the house or function at all? What’s your level? I can’t do stairs in the house. I literally die doing them. It takes me ten minutes to get up them because I have to go slow with breaks.

I’m so lost and don’t know what’s what anymore- any insight?

Hi everyone. I’m so beyond lost and don’t know what’s what anymore. I have various health issues that I have dealt with for many years. I’ve had POTS for 9 years now which started after a virus, also have Lyme, babesia, bartonella, and have had low ferritin for the last 10 years. I have leaky gut as well. I’m literally dying and idk what the main root cause is to my symptoms. My worst symptoms are SEVERE exertional shortness of breath, I cannot exert AT ALL. I’m completely bedbound/housebound. Severe pots. Can’t even do laundry or bend without extreme heart spikes and shortness of breath. Also severe heat intolerance, can’t even go outside for 1 minute without extreme symptoms and 24/7 panic crisis. And a million other symptoms but those are the main ones disabling me. I have never had these symptoms this extreme even though I’ve dealt with all these things for many years now. Did the low ferritin finally catch up with me? Is it Lyme? Idk anymore.

Anyone awaken in the night choking on acid & heart 150 plus??

Hi everyone. I’m curious is anyone in here wakes in the night choking on acid and gasping for air and the heart shooting up super high pounding so hard! Acid is definitely triggering it for me but it happens multiple times a week and I can’t figure out what’s causing it. I have to stop eating 5 hours before bed and sleep elevated. I also have to like force myself to burp before bed to help prevent it from happening. It feels like I’m dying and need an ambulance when it happens and like acid is in my lungs.

Babesia symptoms??

What are your babesia symptoms? Is babesia more likely to cause air hunger or can it also cause exertional shortness of breath?
