Google Pixel 11 Pro XL - Save and Return!

Hello guys,

I am with Rogers under their (RPP program). I am currently getting offer for Google Pixel 11 Pro XL (256 GB) where the plan is 35 cad for 80 gigs (Canada-US) and the phone cost is 25 cad per month plus taxes. After 24 months, if I wish to keep the (likely I wont), I have to pay 1199 cad.

Kindly suggest if they is a good deal or should I wait for back to school deal at the end of the month.

Thank you!

Should I take this Rogers EPP Save & Return deal now, or wait until the end of August?

Hello everyone,

I am planning to upgrade to a top-tier flagship phone through Rogers. My account is currently under the Rogers EPP program.

The deal I am being offered right now is:

  • Plan: $45/month (5G)
  • Phone: $20/month
  • Term: 24 months
  • Save & Return amount: $602
  • After 24 months, I can either pay the $602 to keep the phone or return the device to Rogers.

I am considering a Samsung, Google Pixel, or Apple flagship.

Do you think this is a good deal, or would it be better to wait until the last week of August 2026? I am wondering if Rogers is likely to have better EPP/back-to-school or end-of-summer promotions on flagship phones around that time.

For those who have experience with Rogers EPP, do the deals usually get significantly better toward the end of August?

I am not in a rush to upgrade, so I can wait if there is a reasonable chance of getting a better deal.

Thanks in advance!

Clogged catalytic converter - Kia Soul 2016?

Hello everyone,

I have a 2016 Kia Soul EX model, and I am currently experiencing what feels like a limp mode issue. The car struggles to accelerate beyond 40 km/h, especially when driving in elevated areas or uphill.

I took it to a Kia service centre, and they diagnosed the issue as a clogged catalytic converter with debris inside. They quoted me around $3,000 CAD plus taxes for the repair/replacement.

Since this is quite expensive, I am wondering if it is worth trying to get the catalytic converter cleaned instead of replacing it.

I live in Vancouver, Canada, and I would really appreciate your advice and experiences:

  • Has anyone had success with catalytic converter cleaning?
  • Are there any reputable shops in the Vancouver area that offer this service?
  • Would cleaning be a temporary fix, or is replacement usually the better option?

Thank you in advance for your insights!

Should I take this Rogers EPP deal now or wait for better Back-to-School/Black Friday offers?

Hi everyone,

I am in Canada and already have access to Rogers EPP (Employee Purchase Program).

Rogers has offered me the following deal:

  • $45/month phone plan
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max (256 GB) for $43/month
  • Total: $88/month before taxes

I am also open to switching to Telus EPP if they have a better offer, or even getting a Samsung flagship instead if the value is better.

My questions are:

  • Is this considered a good deal?
  • Should I take it now, or is it worth waiting for Back-to-School promotions in August?
  • Historically, do Black Friday, Boxing Day, or the iPhone launch promotions offer significantly better deals than what's available now?
  • Have any of you seen better EPP offers from Rogers or Telus on flagship iPhones or Samsung devices?

I am not in a rush, so I can wait a few months if the savings are meaningful. I would love to hear what others have experienced.

Thanks in advance!

S26 Ultra - Samsung Care plus!

Hello guys,

I recently broke my S26 Ultra and has to send it to Samsung Care plus.

After 2-3 of waiting , I got an email mentioning that since my phone needed a lot parts and repairs, they have now shipped a replacement device to me.

Do you think it will be a used phone or a brand new one?

I think it might be a brans new one as S26 Ultra is hardly 1.5 months old. How can I check if the phone is new or refurbished?
