Hi!

My goal is to get fully funded scholarship in countries like Germany, Hungary, China or Japan. And I have got almost no money. Only for IELTS and GRE and just little more.

I want to do masters in field of Computer Science from a good foreign university with good facilities which will help me grow.

I do not want to go abroad just for the sake of getting out of Pakistan. I really want to do research work, close to super computers or something like that. My interests are HPC, Computational Science, Simulations and AI.

My CGPA is 3.6 and studied from very mediocre university. But I'm pretty good in Computer Science and Mathematics. And still learning things which I don't know.

I just wanted to ask

How much chance do I have?

How I can improve my chances?

Where should I apply?

Which tests I need to give which are mandatory?

I'm using Gentoo linux with OpenRC, sway wm, and SDDM Login Manager But the issue is that SDDM doesn't doesn't start any WM with DBUS session running.

echo "$DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS"is always empty even though DBUS service is running.

Hi guys!

I'm a fresh graduate and have been trying to apply for jobs. Not exactly fresh, it is been 4 months now. But it is like no matter what I do, it doesn't work.

I have been working as a freelancer in different tech stacks as full stack web developer since intermediate. I have never met anyone who is as passionate about computer science as I am. I learn almost everything which interests me related to computer science. I always dug deep into the subjects which I'm learning and try to understand each concept to the core. Whether it is related computer graphics, computer architecture or neural networks. I scored A's in almost every computer related course I studied. Even few professors praised me how much complex and detailed my answers were in exams.

I thought I would be easily hired but my experience has been completely opposite of what I expected. The thing which shocked me was that I didn't even got a single interview. Not even for unpaid internships. LoL!

Can you guys please help me out? I'm ready to learn whatever there is to offer. But the problem is there are not much options here in Pakistan. Everyone is doing web development or mobile application development.

I always wanted to work on low level systems, do some system related stuff but there is no demand for it here in Pakistan.

Hi guys!

I have AMD RX 580 4GB MSI Armor.

I tried to tried to flash VBIOS into it because I was unable to make driver working. But after restarting, graphics card stopped giving display.

I set iGPU as my primary display output, but PC doesn't give display with GPU installed and display cable plugged into motherboard port.

I don't have 2 PCIe slots either. So only method remaining are

1. Shorting 8 pin VBIOS chip

2. Using CH341A programmer with SOIC8 chip

I have never done something like this before. So I wanted to ask if this is even safe? Especially shorting pins if VBIOS chip.
