Why is there so little discussion about Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike in Kerala?
My earlier post about Sonam Wangchuk's ongoing hunger strike was removed from another r/kerala and I don't know why. I wasn't trying to start a fight i genuinely wanted more Malayalis to know that this protest is happening and to discuss it.
Regardless of where people stand politically, I think it's important that we stay informed about protests and issues that affect the country. If you haven't heard about the hunger strike, I encourage you to read about it from multiple reliable sources and form your own opinion.
If anyone knows why the post may have been removed or a better Malayalam/Indian subreddit where this discussion is allowed, please let me know. I just want this conversation to reach more people.
Solidarity for Sonam Wangchuk

Anyone from Kozhikode interested in organizing a peaceful solidarity gathering or candlelight vigil for Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike? If enough people are interested, we could plan a peaceful, lawful gathering to raise awareness about the issues he's protesting for.
Comment or DM if you'd be interested.
Anyone from Malabar Christian College? How's the college?

I just joined Malabar Christian College for B.Sc. Zoology. If you're studying there or are an alumnus, how's the overall experience? How are the teachers, campus, crowd, clubs, and college life in general? Any tips for a fresher would be appreciated!
Ningalkk thoniyoo?
In Mollywood Times, the writer character is named Vaikom David. The name immediately reminded me of vaikom Muhammad Basheer.Any reason they chose such a similar name? Is it just a coincidence, or was there some intention behind it?
Kerala often avoids BJP/RSS in the name of protecting secularism.
At the same time, IUML, which is mainly supported by one community, has significant political presence and won many seats.
So what actually counts as secularism in practice?
Why is one seen as incompatible with secularism while the other is accepted?
Is the same standard being used for both, or not?

We grew up hearing “fair is beautiful,”
and now we’re finally unlearning it.But somewhere along the way,we quietly replaced it with something else
“color doesn’t matter… as long as your features are perfect.”
Sharp nose. Clear skin. Symmetrical face.
Same pressure.Isn't it just as toxic as colourism?
What do u guys think?
